Of the Midnight Society, I call this entry:
The Tale of the First Weeks of School.
Yah.
Do you ever have those moments where you feel like you're inside a TV show you used to watch when you were little which then got remade in the early 21st century to try to appeal to another audiance but then failed miserabley and won't ever be put on DVD because the greedy snot-nosed producers at a certain television network decide not enough people would buy it?
Ignoring the unnecesarily long discription of Are You Afraid of the Dark, (which my 9-year-old brother is very into, by the way) I am proud to say that I have survived exactly 8 days of high school.
And what do I have to say about it? Should I rant and rave about how highschool is the best part of my life, that I couldn't live without it, and that it's an enriching learning experiance?
Anyone who believed I was going to say that needs to rent the movie Heathers. Subtract Winona Ryder and the murders and it's exactly like that.
English is unbarabley annoying. I can't stand sitting in that room for an hour almost every day(not on Day 2, I drop English and Orchestra on those days) listening to her and Kelly W have loooong conversations about the different layers of every single word in Things Fall Apart. Sometimes we get a nice break from the monotony and we get to hear, "Participation is a biiiig part of your grade. You're all go'n fail/I want to see some new hands/Where the hell is Cam?"
Social Studies is fun only because Kelly S(a different one from the one in my English) freaks out whenever the teacher mentions the 'doubt everything' theories of Descartes. She was really going to have a meltdown when he suggested that the blue bottle sitting on the stool in the middle of the classroom was actually yellow, flat, and not really there. The rest of the time he lectures us about..I'm not quite sure what.
Art is tollerable. Ditto lunch.
Science is annoying. Not only are half of the students sophmores, I get to skip half an our of lunch every 4 days to have an extra half hour of Bio. What do I have to say about the class? I havn't payed enough attention; I sit in the back next to Val and make fun of everything.
Spanish is also awful. I keep showing up late, and I don't like anyone in my class. They're all eons older than me, and I have no one to share my stupid input with except Rachel W, and we're in no way friends.
Math- Do I even have to say it? It's MATH!
Orchestra is cool, cause we sit in the back and try to figure out how children could've teased JS Bach back in the day, and listen to the basses talk about stuff. Our old orchestra teacher from middle school is coming back to haunt us every Thursday, however. Yesterday she dressed like a little Catholic girl on Easter eek
And Gym- If you knew an ounce about me, you'd know how unathletic I am.
Speaking of which, my mom is forcing me to join 2 extracurricular activities. Just cause she's a triathlete, she assumes I'd be great at a sport. Wrong.
So, of course, I'm going to be forced to join the stupid NaNoWriMo club being set up(That's right, you heard me, all you classmates of mine who I happen to be friends with! I hate your stupid club!) because I'm not jumping into the Key club or Chess team. So guess how I'm spending November? Typing a novel and spending my free time with my English teacher, who happens to be running the club!
And just to annoy a certain Lotus Flower, here is my conclusion:
