The evening before, after attending to Eowyn, Tepeu had returned to Faramir to find him still out of bed, wandering around his room.
"What did I tell you?! Back. In. Bed!!" Once he finally laid back down, she sat in the chair next to his bed and told him about Eowyn. "Faramir, I swear, the girl is madly in love with you; one of those 'true-love-at-first-sight-things'."
"Kind of like you?" he asked, the light of laughter dancing in his eyes.
Knowing there was no point in arguing, Tepeu gave in. "Yes, kind of like me. Oh, come on, it's not THAT funny."

The next day, Eowyn got up out of bed and went walking down into the courtyard, hoping to see Faramir. She shivered slightly as her feet touched the cold stone floor, but continued anyway, despite the cold. Once in the courtyard, she stood overlooking the Fields of Pelennor, where survivors were still being picked up, and the dead still being tallied.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Faramir, too, got up, tiptoed across his room, and just as he was about to open the door, Tepeu woke up and noticed him. "And where do you think you're going?"
"For a walk."
Tepeu looked out of the window down at the courtyard. "Eowyn's down there. You have been warned."
As he walked into the courtyard, he found Eowyn talking to herself about the darkness of the world. "It's just the damp of the first spring rain. I do not think this darkness will endure," he said, standing next to her.
She slipped her hand into his and smiled up at him. Aw, crap... now what? he thought. As she leaned her head on his shoulder, something in the corner of his eye cought his attention.
Tepeu was there, a smirk plastered onto her face. She made the 'Aww, so cute,' gesture, and quickly followed it by a gagging motion.
He glared at her, silently telling her to shut up, then looked down at Eowyn and back up at Tepeu, trying to say 'What do I do about this?' I don't want her here!! Tepeu, help me!! Too much contact, too much contact! Forward, isn't she? I mean, we've only just met and she's...
His train of thought was cut off as Tepeu began to try and intervene, but Wendaviel and Rhigodith strode in, gossiping, as usual.
"Did you hear? Some other girl has the hots for Fara--" Wendaviel cut herself off. "Well, this is an interesting sight to behold. Faramir, in front of his girlfriend, has another girl leaning on his shoulder and holding his hand. Awwww..."
Eowyn, startled by the sudden voices, released Faramir's hand and began blushing. Faramir turned to watch Tepeu talk to Rhigodith and Wendaviel, a sport he and Boromir (as well as Terryn and Tallyn) had enjoyed ever since they were children.
Tepeu stomped over to Wendaviel. "If you don't shut up, Wendaviel, I'm going to hit you so hard, you'll think Rhigodith is a man!"
"I say! That was totally uncalled for!" Rhigodith cut in. "What brought me into this?"
"Just shut up, both of you!" she curled her fist into a ball. "LEAVE!"
The two women needed no further persuasion. They quickly departed from the courtyard as fast as they could without running.
Tepeu turned back to Faramir to see a disappointed look on his face. "What?"
"That wasn't as good as it used to be," he said.
She ignored his comment and walked over to Eowyn. "So, Eowyn. I see you've met Faramir."
"Yes," she said.
"And I see that you were getting pretty cozy with him. What's the matter, morning air a little too cold for you?"
"...a bit...."
"You could have asked for more blankets instead of leaning on people. If they get the wrong idea, they could think you love them or something."
Without any further words, Eowyn left the courtyard.
"Oops... I didn't mean for her to leave like that..."
