Iiiiit's con time again! And no, I haven't dropped off the face of Gaia.

Well, I admit I got there late. My mom insisted that we help our brother with his new room. Anyway!

When I finally got up there at about 3pm, I went to Registration to pick up my pass, only to find that they'd lost mine. LOST. IT. It made me angry. But, in short order they whipped up a new one and handed me my default con-stuff. Which included a fan. And an obnoxiously huge bag in which I could put things I purchased. Sadly, today I did not purchase anything.

First hour. Spent looking for people I knew. I found a few, and at about 4, I managed to locate Dragoil in a viewing room. =^.^=

I'm now disappointed in myself. My original plan was to go as Suiseiseki from Rozen Maiden, but due to procrastination, I failed to get the costume done (or started, for that matter) in time. But! I found a Souseiseki. And one of my friends came as Kanaria. It amused. n_n

After locating Draggy, I went in search of other things to do. I managed to find Scott McNiel unguarded outside, signing autographs. His 'shadow' turned out to be my friend Zeto, whom he declared was a bad influence; she was getting him to sign a poster for her friend instead of taking him to his panel which was supposed to start about fifteen minutes before. I managed to get him to sign my DS Lite, and someone immediately offered to buy it. There were jokes about selling it on eBay, and Scott had an amusing reaction to having a gaming device handed to him: hand-shaking and asking people not to let him start playing. Hee. X3

And the fangirls HURT MY EARS. Ow.

After locating my younger brother, who is attending the com with me solely because there's David Watched a little Saiyuki in dub form... I found the voices to be quite bad, so I left, got food and went to the Gaia panel. And oh what a panel that turned out to be.

First off. Users I met there (not necessarily for the first time): Dragoil, Domo Master (retired), Editor (as usual... I MUST HELP WITH NEXT YEAR.), Akirahojo, Gemstone, Asaia, AndrAIa, and Enikil (briefly). Many things were discussed. For example, the change in the banner image. We went through a bit of the history of Gaia (including the original pictures from the shops! Yay normal Ian and Meredith!) and went a little into the Battle System... By the way, I HATE it when people ask "When is the Battle System coming out?". It's like they expect the admins to pull a system out of their a** and release it RITE NOW zOMG just because people are impatient. GRAH.

WE KNOW EVERYONE WANTS THE GODDAMNED BATTLE SYSTEM. SO DO THE ADMINS. THEY'VE KNOWN FOR YEARS. SHUT UP ABOUT IT ALREADY.

The discussion then went to stuff like Daily Chance and the lack of a reliable price guide with longevity, as well as the prices for donation items. It was great fun. Then when we came out (my brother complaining the whole time, he dislikes Gaia) it was already dark... Lacking interest in other events for the night, we went home.

EDIT: Just remembered something. I also saw my boyfriend... twice. Both times it took me a moment to remember that he had rather pointedly dumped me only a few days ago... It makes me sad. I cried once or twice while no one was looking. ._.;
