Unwanted. She had no where to run. No place to hide. The wrath not of God, for that might have been more blessing. Her judgment was passed by a man. A man of flesh, blood, but oh, how he was hollow...Her eye never failed to move from the ground. They knew their place. And for her lack her body gave way to the canvas, she knew not of her place. Her friends had denied her the solace and left her stark naked to fade among the leaves and other mortal and tangible objects. Time passes so slowly when tiny bugs pick at your flesh. He picked her up and carried her, but only to deny her of the life she had yet to live, the normal life in the eyes, which no one gave a damn for. Her body angered her, for it seemed she heard his voice every time she stared into the enemy...the mirror. Herself had become less of worth, but she was a fool. A simple mannequin to prod and to look at, but even that was cheap and ugly. Much like a bad pair of shoes. Uncomfortable, not worth anything but to laugh at and waste on a shelf. Herself had been neglected and her prize never came. Life was supposed to be simple and grand. But she failed to miss the "Happy Ending" sign. She had not loved and lost. She had lost and loved. Not a smile passed her way, and her job was to rot into nothing. He much liked to take that and distort to point out her ignorance. An animal learns to follow instincts. Man follows what is to be believed. It's the reason she sits alone now. Locked in her own place. It is much too cold for comfort. It will be a long, long time before her smile warms another soul. Her eyes looked at the ground. Watch the mannequin...everyone does...her painted canvas lies open for all to see. But no one has comfort for those who are fake...It never changes. He won't either. Nothing ever will. Good by Happy Ending...
