Meeting of the Sea's Child





Somewhere on a boat out at sea



"It's like I said you guys; I want to become the greatest merchant in the world. So, basically, I seek on to ships and head off to various kingdoms and islands." Chiepoo said after he woke up from his nap. Jewel then started walking around Chiepoo, "Aren't you a little young to be traveling by yourself?" Chiepoo then failed his arms and his little cat orbs lit with anger, "I'm 18 years old! I'm not a kid!" Jewel then stepped back from his little out burst, "Sorry, its just you look and act so young." Kennth then rolled his eyes looking at Jewel, "That's like telling Sakura she can't use a sword. Oh, sorry Sakura. Sakura?" Jewel, Kennth, and Chiepoo then turned to see her standing near the bow of the ship looking at something.
"Sakura? What do you see?" Jewel asked coming up next to her friend, "There's a ship over there. I can't tell if its a pirate or a merchant ship thou." Sakura pointed at a ship that beared no flags or mast. Sakura, Jewel, Kennth, and Chiepoo wondered who was on that ship and why are they sailing at night?

On the very ship that Sakura spotted, two men stood on the deck near the main sail mast. One man was an older looking man; his hair only white and all on his head even a little under his nose, eyes only dark brown, dressed in a charcoal black uniform, with the same color in boots, and a light green scarf around his neck. The other man however was much younger looking; his dark brown hair neatly combed, his hazel eyes piercing, his uniform was close to that of the older man but his had a lighter base in it than the other, on his shoulders was a charcoal colored cape, and at his side was a sword seeft in gold.
A merchant came up to these two gentlemen, "A small vesle has been spotted on the port side, sirs'." The older man seemed more jumpy about that ship's being than the other, "Hm. A small ship? Is it an enemy?" the elder man asked in a deep raspy voice. "No, either, it appears to be a drift. Sall we scure it?" the old man looked at the merchant, "Why? Does it show value?" "No sir, but on board there are two women, one man, and a Nay-Kabood male." the merchant replied. The younger man stepped into the confersation, "If they are just children, we may let them on board. Besides, enemy or not, we have a group of soilders on this ship."
The merchant then bowed and walked away from the two. "Why are you worried about a small ship like that captain?" asked the old man, "Colton, do you honstily think we can leave women and children on board that ship forever? More or less, your son is looking." Colton then had a grim look on his face, "Yes and yourself, that's what worries me captain." The younger man then turned to face Colton, "Listen Colton, lets keep acting like merchants for a little while more. The young tend to be very intuitive." "Yes sir." Colton answered to the younger man's request.

"Whew. It's just a merchant ship." sighed Jewel in relief, "Keep your guard up thou, merchant ships are easy targets." said Sakura remembering her past experinence. Kennth then saw the ship slowing down, "It looks like we'll be off this little piece of wood for tonight." Chiepoo then looked at them and then the ship, "Maybe, I can convice them to let me travel with them?" Sakura then looked at Chiepoo, "Lets stay together until we know where this ship is heading." They all agreed to Sakura's idea. They then rowed themselves close to the merchant ship and the merchants then tied their ship along side the merchant ship. Sakura, Jewel, Kennth, and Chiepoo then climbed up a rope ladder to the deck of the ship. "Hello there travelers. My name is Colton and I'm the vice captain of this ship." Colton stepped forward and noticed each was dressed in different clothes, he couldn't tell where they were from. "Sir, if I may please ask where this ship is headed?" Sakura stepped forward and looked at Colton straight in the eye. "We just lefted from Middleport and are heading southeast from here." Colton answered while seeing the two swords she had on her sides. "I see your a warrior miss? Or are those for show?" Sakura then was in raged, "Miss!?" Jewel and Chiepoo held Sakura back, "Excuse her. Sakura is more of the tomboy and doesn't like to be limited just by if she's a girl. Believe me, she's good with her blades." Kennth then went wide eyed realizing that he just told someone Sakura's name. Colton then looked at Sakura and then at the rest of her company, "Well then maybe a goodnight's sleep will do you all some good? Follow me please." Colton then lead them below deck, 'Sakura, that girl may be who the captain would like or my son. This will be difficult.' thought Colton as he lead them down.
Sakura, Jewel, Kennth, and Chiepoo after getting comfy went back out on deck to be in the night sky. Sakura and Jewel were sitting near the bow of the ship when Jewel saw something about Sakura, she was crying. "Hey, Sakura? Are you ok?" Sakura then wiped her tears away, "These swords...Glen left them for me. He left me a letter inside the package. It said; 'I had these blades made for you a long time ago. These were supposed to be a gift for your 17th birthday, but knowing you Sakura its far from that. Good luck, Glen.' " Sakura then put her right hand on her right blade. Jewel then hugged her friend, she knew very much that Sakura would rather die herself before Glen would. Jewel let go of her friend and noticed the younger looking man talking to Kennth and Chiepoo. "Hey, that guy's hot." Jewel pointed at the man again, Sakura turned and looked at him, "And I should care because?" Jewel rolled her eyes at Sakura, "You are really making every women in the world want to kill you. You can practicly destory any guy's life just by putting your sword at his neck. Or is it that you like someone else? Hmm?" Sakura then took her turn at rolling her eyes and stood on the railing and starting walking on it.
Chiepoo then saw her do that and tapped Kennth on his shoulder, "Um. Is it ok if she's doing that?" Kennth then saw Sakura as well as the other man, "Yeah its ok Chiepoo. Sakura's been around ships all her life, she's fearless." and right on cue, Sakura climbed up another rob latter and jumped off it landing on her hands on the railing. Then jumping up and gracefully landing her feet on the deck, "See?" said Kennth almost smirking, "The only person she'll take seriously is the 'Child of the Sea God'."
The man then looked at Kennth, "Why is that?" Kennth then turned to the man and shrugged, "Maybe to see which is stronger. Sakura's father told her stories of the 'Child of the Sea God' and his skills. Sakura used her first real sword when she was four, and beat someone ten times her size at that time. When her father saw her strenght over the years, he told her that she might even beat the 'Child of the Sea God'. Only recently her father died an unknown death, and Sakura's still going to keep her promiss and beat him."
The man then excused himself and went to the stern to talk to Colton, "It seems, I have an admirer with that group." he said to Colton, "The good kind or the bad?" Colton asked while pouring his captain wine. The man then took it and drank a little, "Its hard to say. Its one of the girls, but she's a strong one." Colton then knew who he meant, "Ah. You mean Sakura? Yes her friend told me she's much of a tomboy. Better be careful, if she finds out who you are, well it won't be a pretty first date." The man then chuckled at Colton's joke and drank more wine, "True. But Sakura is about to meet Troy, not the 'Child of the Sea God'. Will that be better?" Troy said as he put down his glass and turned to Colton, "It seems a little wrong, but this is your future not Kooluke's future." said Colton as he too put down his wine glass.
