I know I've been cheaping out with my Gaia Journal entries. The reason for that is 'cause I've never in a "blog mood" when I make 'em. I usually type something out for these journals AFTER I spend my "blog mood" on Xanga or something. (Friendster even, as of lately.)
I apologize for the lack of substance, but it might just continue. Why?
I like using my Xanga and Friendster blogs versus this Journal. We all know why we joined Gaia, right? The avatars, duh. XD I kid, the awesome message forums too. So I never really consider this blog when I wanna type something out.
But I'll try making entries from now on -- quality and quantity, not just me writing about what I happen to be doing at that current moment. I mean like, random stuff about what I do happen to be clicking away at will be included, but I'll add more stuff. Or something.
We'll see how my new plan of action works out. Anyway, I think I should actually start talking about something now. Let's see... I'll start with my current Gaia status.
Alrighties. My avatar is all cluttered right now. That's a tribute to Possessed By Donations, who's on vacation right now with his sister Jesse the Ookami, both really good friends of mine. :] It's to him because the new layering system killed his avatar with 46 items equipped, so I wanted to try it myself with the new system. While they're out, I'll be advertising Jesse's avatar for the arena too. It's rather clever, actually. Kinda like a skeleton-pirahanna-elf thing.
My gold count is around 77k. Not bad. I'm not really sure what to do with it though. I think I'm done with questing. I guess I'll just save it until some kind of awesome new item(s) on Gaia comes out.
Speaking of new things on Gaia, Word Bump is so much fun. @_@ I've always been a fan of word searches, so Word Bump (which is like an extreme version of word searches) is just plain fun. n_n I have maybe 300 credits collectively -- Not only do I play in this account (Faforechao), I play in the guild mule (R-ROFLMONKEYS-G).
Rightright. A bunch of friends and I are planning this guild, R-ROFLMONKEYS-G. It's still in its planning phases, but it is very promising. I can't remember exactly what it means right now. If you want to know, check out that account's profile.
Anyway, my sister (Knil Chan on Gaia) and I just made cheese tortillas for lunch. Homemade all the way -- shredded the cheese and made the tortillas from dough to... done? Wow, cheesey. Excuse the pun. I'm so bad when it comes to corny jokes. XD I blame the Filipino heritage.
Ah, the Philippines. I do miss my family there. Especially all my cousins. But I've got good news ("happy bubbles" wink . I got an e-mail from my Kuya (We share half our names, it's pretty cool. 8D) with news from him about the whole Friendster deal. I also made a wallpaper for my computer that is a collection of pictures taken in the Philippines. This is biased, but I have the cutest/best looking cousins ever. For serious.
I also miss the peacefulness of the Philippines. It was just so much fun, so relaxing. The food was awesome (and abundant, we're blessed). My other kuya, Kuya Boti made the best Filipino spaghetti. XD I miss Jollibee's too. That place had good food. Like, N3 which was Jolly Spaghetti with Yum, or Cheezey Bacon Fries. Ohyes. <3
Back of the peacefulness of the place. The house we stayed in, my grandparents', was a fairly large house (probably spacier than my house here in New York). On the second floor, there was this terrace area. It's like a balcony. The terrace had a great view and atmosphere. Often I'd just go out there to appreciate the country and be thankful I can visit.
Lots of memories were made on the terrace... Ah...
One time, I was sitting there writing in my "old school blog" (a notebook), and my Kuya and a cousin or two started throwing roasted peanuts at me. (If you've ever bought a small bag of roasted peanuts in the Philippines, you can see why it's great ammunition -- plenty of them and easy to hold). Seeing as how they were on the ground (road, actually) and I was up two stories, I was only hit once -- On the shoulder by Kuya. XD
Oh, when I say Kuya, I mean my Kuya Daryl. He's so cool. n_n
Yeah. Another time, I walked out of the bedroom (tricked out with Air Con, ohyes) when it was raining hard. I was about to close the door to the terrace when I saw my Kuya sitting there. I was confused for a while -- he was supposed to be in class. XD So we hung out on the terrace, and I watched the hard rain pour down. The rain didn't last long, but it was really nice.
Yeah, I watched the rain. It's different in the Philippines for a variety of reasons... Like, I don't have to worry about a storm knocking out the power, thus knocking out the computer. XD
Ah, power outs. Actually, "brown outs".
There was this one brown out at night. At the time, I was putting away my dishes in the backroom with Kuya. Then the power goes out. It's pitch black (and Kuya was wearing dark colors, of course). I couldn't see a thing naturally. Kuya was like "How am I supposed to wash my dishes now?" jokingly. (Of course, that's what he's worrying about.) 'Cause not only could we not see anything, the water is run on electricity. All the other cousins started screaming too, 'cause they were playing and/or afraid of the dark. Knil had found a flashlight though, and the brown out didn't last long, so we were alright. Laughed a lot about it afterward too. XD
I've got more stories to tell, but I'll save them for another entry. Knil Chan wants the computer, 'cause hers died. What bad timing, sort of.
This entry was fueled by rock music and homemade food.
Until the next time I decide to blog in this...
