Speculative Babble From the Brilliant Mind of Me
Enjoy the torturous nonsense.
Chainletters (Installment 1)
I recently got a chainletter about some ghost and the killings and whatnot. Anywho I decided to write a little short story about it. I hope you enjoy. Please forgive it's sloppiness

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"No, things like that do not really happen," Danny (more commonly known by her parents and other boring adults as Danielle) muttered.
"I could happen," Alex (more commonly known as Alexandra by the same boring adults) responded.
"It's a chainletter, dummy." Danny rolled her eyes. She did that so much that it was wonder they were not permenantly stuck at the top of her head rolling about. Danny leaned back in her chair staring at the computer screen. "That picture's freakin' me out. Take it away."
"I still think I should send it. I don't want to die or become posessed or die because I'm posessed." Alex poured her friend's list into the send space. "Muhahahaha!!"
"You know you could get in big trouble with the mods by sending chainletters. It says so in the T-O-S."
"Yes, well I'd rather be kicked off Gaia than . . . wait a minute."
"Rather than be dead? Yeah right! Without Gaia you'll be dead from boredom anyway." Danny once again rolled those very round eyes of hers.
"Yes, that's very true. I take it back!" Alex went to her outbox and deleted the message before anyone could open it. "Phew."
"Hope you don't die now."
"Thank you. It's so nice to know you really do care."
And so the two girls went about their day as usual. They were both completely oblivious to the mass number of chainletter haters dying throughout the country and rest of the world. The very angry ghost of a very dead girl who liked attention a bit more than is healthy, possessed people to kill their parents and friendly neighbors who had not sent her message out to the measly five she'd requested (with the help of a threat). The odd deaths and insane rants of witnesses had police officers confused from California to New York, China to Britain, and even the puny little force of a small town in Nebraska.
All day, little tiny omens circled around Alex and Danny; tiny omens that they paid no attention to. It may be thought that the bug that zapped in the bug light was just a bug ending it's life, but the fact that it happened in Alex's bug trap made it much more than the end of something insignifcant. It was a symbol of Alex's upcoming demise. So was falling in the pool, being stung by an evil plant, a cat being run over by a car, and the milk rotting. Both girls thought that it was simply not Alex's is day, which it wasn't. Or it was depending on how you look at it. Some may say it's not her day as it is a bad day. Others may say that it was her day; her day to die. Alex just thought it was a bad day. A Tuesday, of course.
The hot day in Nebraska proceeded, the ghost following Alex around. She made scary faces at Alex, but Alex never seemed to notice. She would allow herself to appear in the mirror while Alex was washing her hands in the bathroom, but Alex never looked up. The ghost was getting rather irritated with this one and so moved on to some other chainletter haters that refused to send her message.
She caused car accidents and other sorts of chaos with her victims. She would've done the same for Alex if she ever got in a car, but Alex, who had her licesense but no car, rode her bike and walked everywhere she needed to go. The ghost had very little to work with what with Alex being so detatched from the rest of the human world to notice her scary threats. Alex was quite lucky, but the other people who actually cared where they went and what they looked like saw the horrible reflection of the self-centered ghost in their mirrors when they fixed their make-up, hair, or when they shaved. The reflection of a dead girl that hadn't been very pretty in the first place, scared these poor people so badly they peed themselves and became imoble allowing the ghost to do with them what she willed.
"I have a feeling," Danny said.
"What feeling?" Alex asked suddenly paying attention to the world.
"A feeling deep inside," Danny said in a trance like voice.
"You're hungry again?" Alex asked remembering the lines from a deviantart picture.
"Yes, of course."
"Danny, you're always hungry. Bring me some new news, please."
That was the extent of their most important conversation of the day. It could have been about the possibility of Alex's sudden, yet inevitable demise, but no. Danny's hungry.
