Bloody Nightmare
I look at my hand in disbelief,
It’s covered in blood.
I focus my gaze again,
And look once more.
It’s definitely,
Not a hallucination.
I clench my fist,
Only to find something stopped it.
A cool blade digs into my skin,
I grunt in pain.
“What have I done?
What did I do?
How do I know?
If this is all true?”
I shake my head,
From side to side.
“Wake up, wake up,”
I scream out loud.
I pinched myself,
With my bloodied hand.
When I didn’t wake up,
I fell to my knees.
“This is all just a dream,
This could never be real.
Not here,
Not now.
Not ever at all.
This could never be real.”
My hands to my head,
My knees in the dirt.
I mutter something,
I don’t understand.
Muffled voices,
Come from outside the door.
I hide,
In a dark corner.
Gasps come,
From whoever it was.
They took out a flashlight light,
And shone it in my eyes.
“Who did this to you?”
The man inquired anxiously.
“You’re wrists are slit,
There is a pool of blood.
There are signs of struggle,
I am in doubt.”
I blinked a few times,
The man look worried.
I just noticed then,
My wrists were bandaged.
I began to say something,
But then I was cut off.
As my vision blackened,
And I fell in my blood.
I look at my hand in disbelief,
It’s covered in blood.
I focus my gaze again,
And look once more.
