The Ice Princess called the next servant in. The servant wore better rags then the rest of them. She wondered why. She motioned for the servant to begin.
"Your Grace, I must say you look ravishing as always. I know I am but a loyal servant, but I ....... "
"Servant continue," The Ice Princess said after he took an akward silence. The princess' skin suddenly turned her bluish, frozen skin to a pale white. The servant must have noticed this change, " Have you taken ill, your Grace."
" Tell me your name Servant."
"Adrian Scott."
"Guards search him and leave the room."
"Yes, Princess." The guards searched Adrian and in an organized fashion they left the room.
"If you don't mind my asking, why did you ask for my name. I thought it was for the servants to know the information and the princess to assume."
"Smart man, Adrian. what were you about to say before."
"My dear princess, i know my place and i know that most servants wish this as well, i hope you take in consideration my courage but may I have your hand in marriage?"The princess' cold, sharp features soften and she managed a smile. She was attracted to him but was she ready for marriage. He headed for the throne and the Princess sat there, She had began to blush, but despite the fact that she was near ready to say yes on the account of his good looks, she still had doubt.
Adrian still climbed the steps of the throne and he made it to her chair. The princess stood and looked deep into his blue eyes, he was tall and had wavy brown hair.
"Forgive me if I'm too forward, " he said, and as she was about to say, "It's fine," he leaned forward and kissed her deeply. She was surprised and then she took him by the collar of his shirt. She pulled him closer. He slid his fingers over her delicate cheek. Her breath had been taken away. She let go of him and his kiss, she was confused yet utterly excited.
"Did I do something wrong, Princess?" He spoke softly and guiltly, "I'm -" She put her finger over his lips, "It's fine, Adrian." She did not say his name normally though, she said it with a bit of arousal in her voice, "Meet me tommorow in the palace ballroom, I'll have a surprise for you." She winked, and dismissed him. He left somewhat dazed and so happy that he was seeing rainbows in the blue-colored kingdom.
