xoxoThe Undead Legion of Hades is a particularly powerful force in the war because of their real lack of limitations. They're already dead so if they fall in battle it is not so permanent, and they feel no need for rest or food or anything that a living person might need to function in times of war. No extra expenses are needed to compensate them because they simply follow the orders of whoever commands them and don't really have anything outside of war. While they might be vicious and pretty terrible conversational partners, the legion is incredibly efficient.
xoxoDead men do not dream. They do not dream because they do not sleep or feel or think for themselves. Brand, however, has started seeing visions in his sleep. The thing about death is that it sort of removes some familiar senses, especially when they aren't needed anymore. What we would call sleeping, Brand might consider mysterious collapsing. It's actually kind of funny to think about. The legion is tireless, but as Brand continues on and rediscovers more of himself, his body begins to remember all of these things that it thinks he needs, including sleep. Going full tilt with the legion stops being an option eventually, as days pass and fatigue sets in on this waking cadaver. He just randomly falls over and gets back up a few hours later and he can't explain it. Brand does not understand this at all, and for a while longer it won't even faze him, but if it were to be pointed out to him, he might begin to wonder if there is something to it.
