A little about me: Though born a princess, Lexine’s memories of her childhood have more to do with the hard parts of the war between her homeland and their neighbors, Mylan. Born right between her elder sister and younger brother, Lexine was often the child to fade into the background even before they were caught as captives of war and made into slaves. She became an observer when suddenly she was able to perceive so much more than surface knowledge about a person. Her demeanor became further suppressed when the lives of she and her siblings began in Mylan. Her attitude went over poorly with higher ups, and it took a very long time for her to change, but when her sister began to accept the pain in her stead, she began to act more agreeably. With her abilities, it became easy to read the wants and needs of others, and she began to use this to her advantage. While her status and quiet nature kept her well out of the way, it was as much a blessing as it was a curse.

Before her brother made his escape, she murmured small hints of help, knowing their hopes of ever leaving their wretched existence rode with him. Waiting patiently for his return, she continues her duties serving the royal family where she is needed. Her powers are not out in the open, but she does not hide them for very few will see them.

Commentary:
xoxoSo... Lexine. She's the second princess of a lost kingdom, made to serve the castle of their captors along with her older sister Odelina and their younger brother and future King of Chastelle, Rowen. Lexine was nine when she lost her status as a princess, and because she was only partially indoctrinated into the life, she has a harder time associating herself as royalty. Since she was a servant for longer than she was a princess, (by one year, but those were some pretty influential years,) she hardly ever thinks of herself as being once noble so much as a servant with memories of noble heritage. While Odelina was raised in the life and Rowen was meant to be king, Lexine had little more destiny than to be married of as a bargaining tool. She is naïve, in a way, letting her sort of fractured memories of home stay intact in a part of her mind she rarely visits, deeming it too perfect to ever disrupt.

xoxoPerhaps because of the years of being treated as lowly, she hardly ever socializes with others and instead opts to spend all of her time in her head. This may make her seem mercurial or nebulous, but when focused her passions are hard to deter and this shows most readily when faced with injustice of the highest order. She sees herself as less important, but holds her siblings highly.

xoxoOdelina has acted as protector of her younger siblings since they were first taken captive. Lexine perceives this as the most love she has ever received, and is intensely devoted to doing anything in her power to repay her sister for her kindness. Rowen, while young, has always been full of potential in the eyes of his younger older sister. Understanding his position from a very early age, Lexine has done everything in her power to help him.

xoxoWhile not prevalent in the game of politics, Lexine has the gift to see situations from more than a personal angle. The crystal that granted so many people in Mylan and Chastelle powers also gifted her with the abilities of a powerful clairvoyant. Seeing events that happen elsewhere is her specialty, but she finds (mundane) exercise in delving into the minds of those around her. Though rarely ever challenged, she finds herself often a few words away from an upper hand over those who might seek to do her harm. Unfortunately, her actions are not so powerful. As she is so caught up in her mind, mistakes are easy for her to make as she will miss small details often in favor of looking at a big picture.

xoxoI've played this character for only a few days, and quite honestly I feel like I've mostly just been dicking around with her. I hate that, and I'm looking to fix it. It's just like having a character briefly mentioned early on that isn't so terribly important at the moment. Maybe further down the road she'll have some sway on the story, but for the time being she's just kind of... there. I fear for that.
