Part I Chapter I
Journey to Kumogakure
It was a beautiful spring day in Tengakure (Village Hidden in the Sky) and Cell 54 was doing a particularly frustrating mission. The mission was to escort a rich merchant from Sky to Cloud and protect him from anyone they came across. The reward was 1,000 Ryo, so they thought it was well worth it. A ninja jumped out of a tree and flew towards Kaki. He thrusted his sword through Kaki's stomach, but it was a clone and it dissapated into waves of chakra.
"Good thing we decided to send clones in there!" Ame sighed.
"Couldn't agree more" Kaki said with relief.
"No more guys, let's take care of this and leave." Hiro snapped.
"Yes Hiro-sensei." Kaki, Ame, and Kakou replied in unison. They jumped out of the tree in a flash and instantly had their kunai held to the three main points on a ninja; Throat, Heart, and Brain. They tied them to a tree and packed up.
"Good job, Team!" Hiro praised.
"Can we hurry this up now, Hiro-sensei?" Kakou responded
"No! Take your time and do a good quality job!" Hiro lectured.
"Yes Hiro-sensei...." the three replied in unison again. Soon they were back on track and ready to continue to Kumogakure.
Soon they were out of Land of Air's borders and well on their way to Kumogakure. It had taken them 4 days to get here, and they had about 8 miles to go. Tengakure was about 40 miles behind them. They started setting up camp in a small clearing near a stream and cast a genjutsu that made it look like a waterfall. Ame was looking at the sunrise, Kaki was was starting a fire, Kakou was setting up the sleeping bags, Hiro was filling up their water sacks, and the person they were escorting was complaining. "Yutaka-senpai, stop complaining, you're lucky you have enough money to pay us to do this!" Ame yelled. "Well I'm sorry you're lazy, Ame!" He yelled back. She just shrugged and went back to staring at the sunrise. "Hey! Hey! Hiro-sensei! When can we sleep?" Kaki asked. "Whenever you feel like it, Geki...." Hiro replied. Kaki just sighed and went into his tent to get ready to sleep. It was 7:00 PM, and they planned to leave at 3 AM to get an early start on the road to Kumogakure.
Kakou, Ame, Kaki, and Hiro were awake at 2:30 AM and waiting for Yutaka to wake up.
"YUTAKA-SENPAI!!! GET UP ALREADY! WE NEED TO GET MOVING SO WE CAN ARRIVE AT KUMOGAKURE BEFORE LUNCH!!!!" Hiro yelled while banging a stick on a bucket to make a racket.
"I'M COMING YOU HYPER-ACTIVE BAKAS!!!!!!" Yutaka screamed. It was only 5 minutes before he came out ready to go with only his tent not packed. Kaki and Ame packed the tent and Cell 54 was ready to set out again!
"Let's move out team!" Hiro called.
"SIR YES SIR" the three Genin responded. They sent Kakou and Kaki to scout for any enemy nin in their path.
"I wish Yutaka-Senpai was quicker....." Kaki sighed.
"Well, at least he's paying us well..." Kakou pointed out.
"Yeah b-" Kaki whined. Kakou slapped his hand over his mouth.
"Be quiet!" he hissed, pointing at an Ame-nin in a little clearing ahead.
"Are Kumogakure, Tengakure, and Amegakure allies, though?" Kaki whispered.
"No, we're not at war either though. Its better for us to go back and report to Hiro-sensei first....." Kakou whispered back.
"Too late.....heheheheheh...." The Ame-nin cackled, instantly appearing behind them and pulling out his two katanas. He thrust them at Kakou and Kaki. Kaki was faster, and managed to block his sword with his own, and Kakou was able to use a Replacement Jutsu to take the hit instead. Kaki took out his second sword and parried the enemy's two swords together, removing his ability to attack. Kakou used his Hail Bullet on the enemy's legs and arms so that they were frozen in ice, immobilizing him.
"Come on, we should take him back to Hiro-sensei now." Kakou said and jerked his head in the direction they came from.
"Yeah, that'd be a good idea." Kaki responded.
The Ame-nin threatened them the whole way to their camp.
"If you don't let me go, my sensei will come here and slay you all!" He threatened.
"Idle threats. We could take your sensei on by ourselves. You haven't even met OUR sensei or our 3rd teammate yet, so shuttup or we'll just kill you here and leave your body to be devoured by the insects on the floor." Kaki snapped. That shut the Ame-nin up pretty quickly. As soon as they arrived at the camp, they laid the Ame-nin in front of their sensei.
"And who might this Rain scum be, might I ask?" Hiro questioned.
"He was an enemy we met while we were scouting." Kakou answered.
"Good, good, you can take care of yourselves....." He said nonchalantly. After they tied him up for the scouts to retrieve, they left for Kumogakure.
They arrived at Kumogakure at 10:00 AM. The sight that met their eyes was a disaster. The whole Eastern Section had been burned to the ground, while the Southern part had just disappeared. The Western and Northern sections were only mildly damaged.
