Personality/Mannerism: Minato has been described as acting just like Naruto did at his age, but with more of the maturity of his mother. Background:
Byakugan is the blood inheritance limit of the Hyuuga Clan. The Hyuuga clan was one of the founding noble families of Leaf village. The clan itself is said to be the ancestors of the Uchiha clan who possess the bloodline of the Sharingan eye. When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the tenketsu; the internal chakra coils system 361 pressure points. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings, the higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blind spot that extends outwards from the vertebra of the upper back.
The clan uses this ability in conjunction with their own chakra creating the Juuken (gentle fist) fighting style. The clan member can use their fingers or palms to emit chakra to flow into their opponents body's at the tenketsu points. When the hand draws close enough to strike, the clan member can stop or increase their opponent’s chakra flow. The internal chakra coils which spread throughout the body also wrap around the internal chakra producing organs. So if the internal coils are attacked, it also damages these internal organs. Because a ninja can not train their internal body, such damage can be a critical hit for even a highly skilled ninja. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.

Kekkei Genkei Techniques:
• Hakke Kuushou [Eight Divination Signs Air Palm] - [Rank - C] - Hakke Kuushou is a ranged Taijutsu technique utilized by Hyuuga Neji. Extending chakra from his body, Neji will thrust his palm at his target. This will send out an invisible wave of chakra that can knock his opponent back. It is unknown if this wave can also collapse his target's tenketsu points.
• Hakke Rokujuuyonshou [Eight Divination Signs, Sixty-Four Palms of the Hand] - [Rank - B] - Hakke Rokujuuyonshou is a Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline. Hakke Rokujuuyonshou is a special technique passed down through the main family line. When an opponent is within the clan members divination field of attack, they can quickly begin their assault. The technique allows the clan member to use the Byakugan eye to see the inner chakra coils system. Using the Juuken style, they can force their chakra through their hands into the tenketsu of the opponent's body through 126 strikes. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 4, 8, 16, 32 and finally 64. This damage forceably closes 64 tenketsu, stopping the chakra flow of the opponent. This then limits their opponents ability to use jutsu.
• Hakke Hyakunijuuhachishou [Eight Divination Signs, One-Hundred and Twenty-Eight Palms of the Hand] - [Rank - A] - Hakke Hyakunijuuhachishou is a Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline. Hakke Hyakunijuuhachishou is a variation of Hakke Rokujuuyonshou, a technique passed down through the main family line. When an opponent is within the clan members divination field of attack, they can quickly begin their assault. The technique allows the clan member to use the Byakugan eye to make nearly double the normal 126 strikes, striking 254 times against their individual foe or opponents. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 and finally 128 times.
• Hakkeshou Kaiten [Eight Divination Palms of the Hand, Heavenly Spin] - [Rank - C] - Hakkeshou Kaiten is a Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline using the Juuken. Kaiten is a special technique passed down through the main family line. Kaiten takes advantage of several of the unique abilities of the Byakugan eye. Byakugan gives the clan member an almost complete 360 degree view of their surroundings. This allows the member to see all angles of attack.
If an attack is near, the clan member will release a large of amount of chakra from their tenketsu. The member then begins to spin like a top, creating a whirling vortex that can nullify almost any attack.
Ninjutsu:
• Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [Shadow Clone Technique] - [Rank - B] - Kage Bunshin is a Jounin level Ninjutsu. When Naruto stole the scroll of seals, he learned this technique as well. The normal Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja that lacks any substance. The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones. This makes Kage Bunshin an excellent training method if the ninja has the chakra capacity and stamina to maintain the Kage Bunshins for an extended period of time. This allows the ninja to essentially reduce the time it takes to train and learn with each clone added. This is especially true when used with Tajuu Kage Bunshin.
• Shunshin no Jutsu [Body Flicker Technique] - [Rank - D] - Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu. The ninja will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly. To facilitate the movement the ninja will often use nearby elements such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance.
• Rasengan [Spiral Sphere] - [Rank - A] - Rasengan was a ninjutsu technique developed over the span of three years by the Fourth Hokage. The technique was taught to his sensei Jiraiya, who then passed it on to the young ninja Naruto years later. Like Kage Bunshin, Naruto would adopt the technique as a signature move and make it all his own. The technique is unlike other jutsu in that it does not require any handseals, it just relied on the ninja's ability to mold chakra. The ninja concentrates a contained, fast, rotating sphere of chakra in the palm of their hand which can cause much destructive impact.
Thus the technique was pure shape manipulation of chakra, unlike most elemental techniques which are shape and nature manipulation. Hatake Kakashi stated the technique was unfinished for this reason, as the Fourth Hokage did not get a chance to add some form of nature manipulation to it and it was even unclear whether it is even possible for an elemental nature to be added. Naruto dedicated himself to this task though, in the hopes of fusing his Wind elemental nature with the Rasengan's shape manipulation. He eventually succeeded after long and hard training, which took advantage of Kage Bunshin's memory absorption capabilities. He was able to finish the jutsu in the span of a few weeks what would have taken a normal ninja numerous years. The new Wind Element version was thus named Fuuton: Rasengan. When used in conjuction with Minato's Senjigusuri technique the Rasgengan can either maintain a fuuton element, receive a katon element, or recieve a mix of the two.
- Senjigusuri Fuuton Rasengan [Infusion Wind Spiral Sphere] - [Rank - A] - When fuuton chakra is infused with the normal Rasengan for Minato, it has a different effect than it did for Naruto. Instead of creating a massive explosion of cutting winds, Minato uses his precise chakra control to keep the cutting wind blades in a smaller, more easily directed form. Though they lose some power the blades will all be focused on the point of impact on an opponents body. This form of connection will allow the Rasengan to cut through skin and muscle, normally cutting to the bone.
- Senjigusuri Katon Rasengan [Infusion Fire Spiral Sphere] - [Rank - A] - When katon chakra is infused with the normal Rasengan for Minato, it has a very interesting effect. The Rasengan become a spinning ball of immense heat, capable of melting through flesh and muscle. Using his precise chakra control Minato is able to direct the entire force of this technique away from him and to his opponent, protecting his hand from the heat and damage.
- Senjigusuri Kakka-Ichijin Rasengan [Infusion Burning-Wind Spiral Sphere] - [Rank - S] - By combining both katon and fuuton chakra with the normal Rasengan, Minato creates an attack far more devastating than either one alone. This technique literally combines the effect of Senjigusuri Fuuton Rasengan and Senjigusuri Katon Rasengan. As such, it creates slicing blades of immense heat that will melt and slice through an opponent. This technique packs enough punch to sever limbs from the body, but is not without its own drawbacks. The ferocity of the attack leaves cuts all over Minato's hand and sever, second and third degree burns on the same hand.
• Senjigusuri [Infusion] - [Rank - S] - Perhaps the staple of Minato's abilities, this custom passive jutsu allows Minato to infuse any of his two independent elements or his one combined element into any technique he uses. For example, he can allow Rasengan to remain fuuton affiliated, change it to katon affiliated, or combine them to make a Kakka-Ichijin affiliated Rasengan. (Kakka-Ichijin Rasengan is independently listed, but fuuton/katon Rasengan retain original rank.)
• Kai [Release] - [Rank - D] - Kai is a Ninjutsu which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

After forming the needed hand seals, Nagato will send a strong gust of wind towards his target. When acting in conjunction with another thrown weapon, the wind can increase its power and deadliness.
• Karyuu Endan [Fire Dragon Flame Projectile] - [Rank - B] - Katon • Karyuu Endan is a Ninjutsu utilizing the Fire Element. The ninja does a string of hand seals and the proceeds to blow a large jet of fire from their mouth.
Iryo Ninjutsu: [ Medical Ninjutsu ]
• Inyu Shometsu [Secret Healing Injury Destruction] - [Rank - A] - Inyu Shometsu is a Ninjutsu used by Kabuto. Focusing his chakra to an area to be hit, he can begin the cell creation process the moment the area becomes injured. This ability to activate his cells and create new ones is the very reason why Orochimaru favored Kabuto's talents.
• Chakra no Mesu [Chakra Scalpel] - [Rank - B] - Chakra no Mesu is a special Ninjutsu used by medical ninjas. After forming the needed handseals, the ninja will focus chakra to their hands. When their charged hands reach the body of their target, they can extend the chakra internally into the targets body to cut and neatly slice their muscles and blood vessels without harming the surface skin. This technique can be used in battle, but because of its hectic nature, the fine precision required for an instant kill is not feasible. Damage can still be done to the vital organs, but the technique should be used carefully in battle.
Doujutsu:
• Deko-do Shiryoku [Decode Sight] - [Rank - C] - This technique allows the possessor of the Byakugan much more versatility with their full sight. Within the normal sight range of the Byakugan the user can now add color to specific objects and decode object to make them easier to see and recognize. The chakra signatures of individual people can be made different colors for tracking, elemental chakras can be color coded, etc. This way important object, given colors by the Byakugan user, can be noticed more and faster. When activated anything already designated by a color will continue to be designated by that color.
• Sasu Shiryoku [Pierce Sight] - [Rank - B] - This technique allows the possessor of the Byakugan to fine tune their sight even more. With this technique the user can see the faint trail of chakra left by shinobi as they move as well more subtle changes in the chakra in other people. This technique can be used to see through barriers C-ranked and lower, but vision even then will not be able to see anything smaller than a kunai.
• Buraindo Shiryoku [Blind Sight] - [Rank - B] - By sacrificing half of the user's normal sight range, the Byakugan user and use their Kekkei Genkai abilities while having their eyes closed. The precise method this is done is unknown but it is thought to function in the same way as the 360 degree vision function works. While using this technique only normal Byakugan sight can be used.
Fuuinjutsu:
• Gussuri Fuuin [Slumber Seal] - [Rank - C] - This seal, if place on a target, will force the target to fall asleep for a maximum of ten minutes (three posts). This technique was developed more for a way of temporarily subduing opponents without causing physical damage. In this time frame the target can be bound and restrained.
• Chakra Gentei [Energy Restriction] - [Rank - A] - This seal, if place on a target, absorbs chakra at a constant rate, restricting the level of technqiues that the target can use to C-ranked and lower. The seal only remains in effect for ten minutes (three posts) and afterwards the seal merely disappears, but does not return chakra to the target nor give it to the person who placed the technique.

Shinobi Weapons:
• Shuriken:
This throwing knife is one of the common weapons of a ninja. It is often kept in a holster on the leg in a pouch attached to the belt. The Kunai can be used in conjunction with explosive tags and other weapons to form deadly combos.
• Kunai:
Another common weapon, the shuriken is often kept in a holster on the leg or in a pouch attached to the belt.
• Exploding Pouch:
A variation on the exploding note, these small pouches can be attached to a target and then explode a few seconds later.
• Makibishi:
This weapon is primarily used during escape, numerous makibishi are thrown on the ground and enemy soldiers will have a difficult time pursuing because the spiked metal can penetrate the sole of the shoe wear.
• Senbon:
The senbon was first used by doctors in acupuncture, it was then adopted by ninja and Hunter-nins to hit points on the body to cause death, deaden limbs or cause their target to fall unconscious.
• Exploding Note:
The exploding note is a piece of parchment paper which has script on it that serves to faciltate its explosive properties. The ninja can attach the note to another object such as a kunai or log. When the note is set it begins a slow burn which results in a large explosion.
• Exploding Smoke Grenade:
When the pin is pulled on this grenade, the result is a large explosion and the release of smoke. This allows the ninja to carry out their maneuvers in secret.
• Windmill Shuriken:
In its folded state, all four arms of the shuriken are folded together. When full unfolded the large shuriken can be thrown through the air causing great damage.
• HyourouGan (Soldier Provision Pills):
When the soldier pill is swallowed, it allows the ninja to fight for several days without rest. The pill is full of proteins and a special stimulant that momentarily increases the ninja's chakra.

Wire can be used in several situations. It can allow the ninja to create trip wire explosive traps, it can be used in rappelling, or as a method to tie down and restrict the movement of an opponent.

A file is normally hidden within the clothing of the ninja, if captured, the file can be withdrawn from its secret location to file and cut through metal.
• Mirror:
When the ninja wants to avoid putting themself directly in the possible line of attack, they can use the mirror to peak around corners to ensure the path is clear.

Romantic relationships: Minato believes that love comes to those who wait for it and seek it when they believe it may be coming to them. This is inspired by his mother who never gave up on his father.
Religious philosophy: Minato believes that there is an afterlife. He believes that if you are judged to be completely good that you are sent to a perpetual paradise to spend the rest of your eternal life with friends and family. If you are somewhat neutral you go to a place to live just as you did on Earth where you are tested to see if you are more good or evil. If you are evil you are sent to limbo forever, a place of pure white and nothingness.
Political/social philosophy: Minato believes that mankind should follow all orders given via rank structure unless it goes against your own beliefs in such a way that you become resentful towards who gave you the orders. While in any serious situation it is always better to obey now and ask questions later.
Background: During a brief lull in peace Hinata finally got Naruto alone and explained to him how she felt. She told him for how long she had liked and loved him, that she had always believed in him, and that she had always been to shy to tell him how she felt. Naruto resisted at first, saying that he was in love with Sakura and could only imagine himself with her. Eyes full of tears Hinata pleaded with Naruto to see that Sakura had always been focused on Sasuke and would never even think about Naruto in a romantic way. In a final ditch effort she asked Naruto to spend the night with her and see how he felt in the morning. That night Minato Uzumaki-Hyuuga was conceived of the free will of both Hinata Hyuuga and Naruto Uzumaki. The next morning Naruto got up and left after eating breakfast with Hinata, telling her that he would be back with her answer and that he was sorry for causing her any pain, emotionally and physically. Another conflict occurred and their personal lives were put on hold for quite some time, at least until Hinata started showing signs of pregnancy.
It was Tsunade who noticed Hinata's morning sickness and steadily increasing weight, fatigue, and occurrence of mood swings as signs of pregnancy. She was taken off of all missions list and ordered to spend her time nursing herself and the preparing for the child. There were no laws in Konohagakure ordering marriage should a woman get pregnant out of wedlock, but laws did dictate that the husband be present for the child's birth and support the family. Tsunade condemned Naruto for his actions, but allowed him to do as he pleased. Naruto dedicated a portion of his pay to Hinata and the child and visited with her often between missions, Sakura becoming a good friend to them both during this time. The day Minato was born Naruto, Sakura, Tsunade, and of course Hinata were all there and Naruto and Hinata were congratulated on their baby boy. Smiling, Naruto held his child and vowed to train him as best as he could, and Hinata did the same. On the spot their child was named after Naruto's father and given the last names of both of his parents, an eternal symbol that his mother and father were separate yet joined as long as their child, Minato, lived on.
As soon as he was old enough Minato started being trained by his mother on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Naruto trained him on Tuesdays and Saturdays, giving him Sundays to spend time with his own friends and relax. Early on Minato showed promise with the abilities of the Hyuuga and awakened his Byakugan at an earlier age than any other Hyuuga. This in itself was a surprise since the child seemed to take on everything about his father, including hair color, eye color, and overall attitude. Of course, Hinata could not be more proud of her child than to see that he would have her Kekkei Genkai. Once awakened, Minato's training with his mother focused on perfecting the Byakugan and the Hyuuga fighting style, something he seemed to catch onto naturally. Having helped him as much as she could, Hinata turned Minato over to Naruto to train fully.
During his training with his father, Minato discovered his elemental affinities as Katon and Fuuton, as well as his enormous chakra pool. Training with his father was harder than with his mother since it all focused on things his father had mastered long ago and techniques that did not require the use of his natural born gift, the Byakugan. After a year of training Naruto finally began teaching Minato the Rasengan, the heritage of the men in his family. Before Minato could master it, however, trouble came to Konohagakure and his parents were both needed in the effort. Knowing that Konoha was not safe for their son, Hinata and Naruto sent Minato to Kumogakure as a favor from the current Raikage to them.
Minato has lived his life in Kumogakure ever since he was sent there, keeping in contact with his parents through letters and occasional visits between villages from both parties. In this time Minato has pushed himself even higher in abilities and merged his teachings from his mother and father to create a unique fighting style and unique applications of techniques taught by his parents as well some of his own creation. Of the most impressive of these comes Minato's ability to combine Fuuton and Katon chakra to create Shakuton, something previously thought to only be able to be done via a Kekkei Genkai.
Other Notable Aspects:
Since Naruto was the Kyuubi Jinchuriki when Minato was conceived, Minato was born with a large chakra pool that grew with him, as well as the innate ability to regenerate chakra at a faster rate than usual. That status of Naruto at Minato's conception is also the reason for Minato's katon affinity.
Kakka-Ichijin (Burning-Wind) is a description given to the way Minato utilizes both the katon and fuuton elements at the same time. In truth it is not a combined element, but both elements are used together so perfectly that it is perceived as a combined element and Minato treats it as such when naming his techniques. Doing this makes every Kakka-Ichijin technique easier to use for him. This manipulation embeds the fuuton element with katon characteristics literally making the wind in the technique so hot that it burns like fire upon contact. Some claim that the wind even seems to be on fire itself.
