A Measure of Insanity....
....for life, disasters, and other such things.
*sneeze*
Well, I've gotten sick again. Not a major problem, looks like. Just a rather nasty cold with a sore throat and aching joints. I should probably sleep more. sweatdrop

I haven't written in my journal in a while and a lot of things have happened recently. Going down the list from first to last will be too hard, so I'll just write whatever pops into my head. biggrin

I beat Kingdom Hearts II yesterday. My hand hurts - too much thumb mashing on the X button. I enjoyed it, but I think that some of the excitement for the game made it less fun to play, so I'm going to set it down, walk away for a while, and then pick it up again. In fact, if it works out all right, I think I'll play all three games in a row and update the guides in my thread at the same time. Good idea?
I've never had a 'book thrall' moment for a game before. When I read books, I oftentimes get so caught up in the stories that I have to know what's going to happen, but it is physically impossible for me to read faster, or to read any more at all. When that circumstance occurs, I end up skimming through complete sections of the book in order to satisfy my driving need.
This game is so well built that I actually had the same impression from it. All I can say is wow! eek

Fandemonium planning is going well. Or, at least, it's not going badly. Still working on getting a con-bible up and running. I'm also working on a project called Under CON-struction, and when I get enough installments, it's going to debut on the website (last I checked, anyway). At this point, early to middle summer will be the start point for that.

My choir piece - A Sailor's Love - is finally getting performed! I need to remember to thank the choir members (especially the graduate assistant, James) for taking the time to do it for me.
For some reason, the Director of Choirs over here has not wanted to do my piece for almost two years now. I don't know why it's so hard to sing, especially when she'll make the time for any of her compositions, but if it weren't for the Grad Assistant, I'd still be waiting for the choral department to get around to it. Thanks a million, James. mrgreen

Also, on that note, I had a random person stop by today and say he was looking forward to hearing it. My new word of the week is 'disconcerting' - it's very cool, but rather disconcerting to speak with someone who's looking forward to seeing/hearing something you've done, but you don't know who it is. Is that what we call a fan?

*scratches head*

Do I have fans? eek

Creepy. redface

Expected date of graduation is Spring of '08. My dad reminded me last week that getting out of school needed to be the important thing, and I tend to agree with him. Homework takes precedence over anything else until that happens. Two years and counting......

Aaaand...that's that. I don't have anything else to chat about at the moment, and my head feels like it's stopped up with helium. Time for some sleep. 3nodding
