Why is the English language so complicated?
Okay, first, take the Welsh language, now run it over with a car and rebuild it with spare parts found in something akin to Danish/German. Now take THAT language, shoot it in the leg, strap it to a chair and force it to watch French films with no subtitles for a few centuries.
That's pretty much how modern English came to be.
