● Point of Origin: Ugo was born and raised in Frendol
● Personality : Ugo has a strong sense of duty with his past in the Frendol military, but with his even earlier past as an acrobatic street performer, he tends to put a lackluster entertainment value on everything he does. Nothing is ever serious to Ugo as he grins from sunrise to sunset, making sure his alias as La Scimmia Acqua di Fredol, the Water Monkey of Fredol, was kept on a mighty pedestal for all to enjoy, whether the tight and strict culture of the military likes it or not.
He will do his orders as he is told, but he likes to put his own twist on things by putting his acrobatic abilities to the test. As carpenter, his job requires him to be in odd locations to patch up the ship, so it was ideal for him. And although his priority is the ships maintenance, he was still trained like any other soldier assigned to land or sea.
● History : Ugo was raised by the peasants and street performers of Fredol as an infant, too young to know about his real parents, but at the age of six he was wise enough to know that such things didn't matter, the people that raised him were his family, and each and every one of them treated each other as such because they had nowhere else to go. They had no families to go to nor fulfilling lives to live, all they had to keep food on their plates was their unusual talents and their sense of camaraderie that attracted passerby's to donate for their abilities.
For Ugo, he was an acrobat, in a more modern term parkour or freerunning. Through rigorous training, Ugo was able to show people the nearly inhuman ability to reach the unreachable, to climb heights unfathomable by mortal means. He climbed nearly everything that the Kingdom of Fredol could allow his worn hands to grab. Years of challenging his unique ability gave him the name "The Water Monkey of Fredol".
By the age of fifteen, the military decided to draft Ugo and train him into the army as a Naval Carpenter, an important job to maintain the ship's structure below the deck level. Things like the hull, the decks, the bulkheads, things that are essential to keep the boat afloat. He was responsible for replacing damaged or worn masts and yards, repairing or replacing the rudder or any other timber which needed it and for stopping leaks. Atop the whole carpentry job, he was first trained to be a soldier, learning the basics of the firearms and swordsmanship and discipline of the Fredol military.
It was a grueling many years for this circus performer, and he refused to be indoctrinated by the whole disciplined lifestyle of the Navy. While this made most of the higher ups angry, they allowed it thanks to his raw talent and useful abilities. He proved this when he was finally assigned to his first ship, The Noraline. His service was astounding, not only doing his job to keep the boat in working condition, but keeping the morale of the boat high with his acrobatic shenanigans. It was bitter-sweet for the Captain, the demand for order was practically law on The Noraline, but the Captain knew well that morale was an important role in victory, so there was a bit of an impasse between ugo and the rules of the Navy.
Things had always been sketchy between Ugo and the Fredol military, he didn't abide by most of the rules, but he always got his job done and made sure there was at least a positive attitude among the rest of the sailors. He would get in trouble hundreds of times for being in places he didn't belong. . .like the outside of the Captain's Cabin window!
There would come a point where he became reassigned for all the violations he had done on the Noraline, and so his story begins on his new ship. . .the Immortal Cobra.
