~~~~~I sort of believe in the phrase "Take everything with a grain of salt.". It's a good lesson, because you never know the whole truth of anything. But some people doubt things too much and take a mound instead. So I can't help but think that some things could be a setup to lure me into some ingenious trap. Such as, could my friends be leading me on sometimes for certain outcomes? That would be pretty odd, seeing as I don't know their motivation.
~~~~~I don't believe that, though, because I trust them. Some people could say that you can't trust everyone, or that you shouldn't trust them too much, but nothing's ever harmed me so far and I'm easygoing, and I have no real reason to be suspicious. If something turns out to be a joke, I guess it'd depend on the seriousness level of it in the first place for me to feel betrayed or angry.
~~~~~Maybe my level of trust is too high for my own good. I don't know. I'd love to say "Well, I'm pretty sure I'd know if such-and-such was out to get me but I have a good feeling about them" but a lot of people would disagree, telling me that I don't know their true nature. I agree with them there. But I'm just a trusting person though, I suppose. Unless I get a bad vibe from someone, I'll trust them depending on my own rating system. Of course, I've only go that vibe once, maybe twice, but oh well.
'What a pity that Bilbo did not stab that vile creature, when he had a chance!'
'Pity? It was Pity that stayed his hand. Pity and Mercy: not to strike without need.'
