I guess part of growing up is learning who your true friends are, and it makes me really sad because it's almost like a process of elimination. The calls and texts that were once daily turn into silence. No one did anything wrong, there's no one to blame, just an obvious drifting and a bittersweet end. Sometimes it makes me feel like my heart is breaking because the people that were once there for me won't even speak to me. And I didn't even do anything. A friendship takes effort, and it can't be on just one side. It makes me wonder if my time was ever wasted, or if I should be thankful for what I once had. It also makes me wonder if I'll ever have one true, best friend who won't turn their backs. I really hope I will.
