Quentin James Peirson!
Likes: Fresh baked cookies, art, Music and Dancing (although he's not very good at it)
Dislikes: Irritating little brothers (but he tolerates them) Smoking ( Is constantly harping on his mother) the rain or getting his clothes wet, especially his socks.
Hobbies: Painting and building models. Writing (was attending college to become a Journalist)
-Born July 14th, 1922
-Moved to sasktchewan with his parents when he was 3
liked to spend time with his father at the military base or running through the wheat fields.
-Once his sister Mary was 4 the two would often venture into town together.
-Was in Boy scouts.

-Has had mary bailhim out of several fights
-Broke his arm and collar bone at the age of 9 while rescuing the kitten of a girl he liked.
This is when he discovered his love of journalism as he was interviewed about the kitten rescue (although he probably spent more time asking the reported questions) getting a tiny spot in the local newspaper.
He loved going with his father to the local barber shop, asking the patrons plenty of questions.
At the age of 14 he started working for the local newspaper, covering small stories at first such as the pie eating contest at the town fair, a horse trainer with dreams of becoming a champion.
His big break came as the discovery of a group of Nazi's working undercover in the town. He is spotted while sneaking around and barely manages to escape. He runs to the owner and editor of the newspaper and they quickly call the cops. Quentin is able to name all but one of the men, to his initial surprise they are all friends of his father. They are unable to feign innocent as Quentin had taken their pictures. His story makes the front page and he is labeled a town hero.
It's about a month after this that his father starts acting weird and getting violent. Quentin believes that his father is scared that his friends might target the family and try to hurt them but this kind of clashes with the fact that his father has become abusive. Quentin encourages his family to spend as much time out of the house as possible while he is at work.
Quentin comes home one day to find Mary going through their fathers study. They're the only one's who are home/ Mary is convinced that their father is somehow connected to the Nazi's. Quentin gets after her about what will happen if their father were to find them looking around the study. Mary argues with him and at this point discovers a hidden compartment in the desk. Mary pulls it open and sure enough the two discover a German pistol, a Nazi arm band, Documents on the Canadian military and government and German documents.
As Quentin predicted though their father shows up. Having been discovered he attacks Mary, intent on killing her. Quentin tries to pull their father away only to receive a back hand and a broken nose. He takes things into his own hands, grabbing the German pistol and shooting his father in the shoulder. The man turns on him and, dragging Mary kicking and screaming by her hair goes after Quentin.
Quentin doesn't waste a sec and unloads the gun into his fathers chest, dropping the man. Quentin drops the gun and runs to his sister holding her close.
As soon as they have calmed down they realize they need to get right of the body and the evidence that proves their father is a Nazi for fear that should anyone discover that fact the family could come under suspicion.
They drag the body out to the back field and as far away from the house as possible. Quentin starts to dig a six foot grave and instructs Mary to search the study for anything that might draw suspicion to the family. They bury the gun with their father and burn the documents in the fire pit before disposing of the ashes.
Their mother returns to the home with her three youngest sons after visiting friends all day horrified to find Quentin and Mary on the porch battered and beaten. She is devastated to learn that her husband has left them.
Quentin and Mary tell their mother that their father came home in a rage and attacked Mary because she had left her shoes in the hall way. Quentin tried to help her only to get hurt himself.Their father then said that he had had enough of the bullshit they put him through, stormed up to his study, grabbed a few things and left. He hasn't been home since.
Quentin and Mary help their younger brothers get ready for bed. Their mother starts her ritual of sitting on the porch swing, waiting for her husband to come home. The town does a search for the missing man but some people are happy to hear that he is gone. Quentin's sister Martha is born 3 months later.
Mary suddenly finds herself looking after the children and performing all the household chores as their mother rarely leaves the porch, this is when their mother starts smoking.
Quentin's uncle shows up just before Martha turns one and convinces everyone to move to Toronto with him. They sell the house and Mary and Quentin pay their fathers grave one last visit.
The owner of the local newspaper gives Quentin a letter of recommendation to help him get a job in Toronto but he is quickly shot down as the bigger papers tell him he'll need a degree before he can step into their offices. His uncle helps him get into college and gives him a job part time to help pay for his family and schooling. It's a few mothers after moving in with his uncle that Quentin meets Jeannette. He ended up tearing his good shirt and not wanting to put anymore stress on his mother and sister went to the local seamstress. Jeannette was the girl behind the counter and she was more than happy to fix it for him right away. They hit it off and the next day he was asking her out. Before they knew it the two of them were planning their future, where the would live, how many kids they would have, what they would name their kids. But just as Quentin was getting up the courage to propose the call for more pilots went out. This is when he decided that the military might be a better career choice allowing for a more flexible life style as the military would provide a much more substantial income.
Mary is sad to see her brother go and is scared that this might be his way of getting back at their father but Quentin assures her it is not.
He is placed into a training program and passes with flying colors only to be place in the 404 Squadron. He is instantly picked on by everyone as it's a pretty tight knit team of pilots and he is the new guy. He is rescued by the Squad leader, Fei lee Xiao, a Chinese-Canadian and Ace Pilot.
Quentin Makes the mistake of inviting Fei to Dinner at his uncles place as the ace pilot is charming and as far as his sisters are concerned a prince in a military uniform. The boys love listening to Xiao's stories about the war in the China that he hears from his parents. Jeannette shows up and is surprised to see Fei, it turns out that Jeannette's sister Jennifer is Fe's "Best Friend" and a military nurse. Fei gets embarrassed and denies any sort of relationship between him and Jen, simply saying that she is a good friend.
Mary tries to hide her jealousy and Quentin teases her. Even Quentin's mother joins in on the fun teasing her daughter and enjoying Fei's presence.
Fei is told that he is welcome back anytime as him and Quentin begin to walk back to base, dropping Jeannette off at home. Fei admits to Quentin that he is jealous of his family as Fei has no one like that. He lives with his aunt who he's not very close to and who forced him into the military as a way to keep the boy out of her hair. Quentin wraps his arm around Fei's shoulder and says that he can be the family Fei never Had. They continue to talk about little things when Quentin asks Fei if it would be crazy for him to propose to Jeannette. Fei says no and tells him that not proposing to the girl he loves would be silly.
Family Time!! We'll start with his mother
Shirley Peirson
She felt that she had the perfect life, a wonderful husband 5 kids and another one on the way. She worked out of their house as a baker and full time housewife. She was very devoted to her family. She started to notice little things about her husband, his behavior would shift between kind and loving to suspicious of everything and everyone as well as violent. Then one night her life turned upside down as her husband walked out on her. She packed up her kids and dragged them off to live with her brother. She has recently taking up smoking and doesn't bake much anymore, heck she doesn't do much of anything. If it wasn't for Quentin she would probably neglect her children.
Sisters
There's Mary who is 16 and Martha who is 4. Mary and Quin are pretty close as he helps her with her studying while she looks after the kids while he's either at work or School. She's a sweetheart and loves to bake, just like her mom once did. She's not shy and can be very outspoken, which while their father was around would normally result in her getting hurt, Quentin had protected her a few times so she really adores him. She has a crush on Xiao and is constantly asking her brother to bring him over for Dinner when ever they are in Toronto.
Martha absolutely adores her big brother and is always asking him to play dolls with her or read her bedtime stories. When Quentin goes off to war she just sits by the front window with a book in hand waiting for him to return.
Brothers:
Daniel (13) Jimmie (10) and Darrell (7) are the trouble makers of the family. The three are notorious for breaking anything and everything. Past times include playing war, bugging Mary, listening to the Radio or asking Quen to tell them any stories he's heard. They do look up to their brother but not their father. Daniel and Jimmie have a deep seated hatred for their father as they were sometimes the victims of his outbursts and threaten to hurt him should he ever try to come back. T
Jeannette Hemmingway,
she's 18 and works at the local seamstress. Her and Quentin met 3 years ago when he tore his new pants and didn't want his mother to find out. She's a bright girl with dreams of becoming a famous singer. She loves Quentin with all her heart and is good friends with Mary. She gets long great with Martha and can terrorize the boys if the need is there. She's fun loving and in Quentin's eyes perfect.
The Father, Clarence Peirson
He left his family just before Martha was born (so he's been gone almost 5 years) Was a pilot in the military and at one point a very kinda and loving man but something in him changed and he became violent and cruel towards his family. Then one day he just up and vanished. No one is sure as to what happened to make him change so suddenly or where he has gone to.
The Uncle, Ronnie McDowell is Shirley's brother and Quentin's uncle. He takes his sister and her children under his wing after Clarence disappears . He has no kids of his own so he tends to spoil his neices and nephews every chance he can. He owns a local Corner store where he employees Quentin to help pay for living and to help the kid get through college since he has no father to help pay for his schooling.
