I've stood alone
nearly all my life.
On my own,
I know where I stand.
I've known my position
on this revolving world
of confusion and beauty.
I've watched many fall
and I've stumbled myself.
I've watched the beauty and confusion,
assured of my place in it all.
But now that you're here,
I suddenly find myself
unaware of where my feet rest.
The world revolves day in and day out
and I'm no longer certain of my place in it.
I'm no longer standing alone,
so can you please tell me
where you,
where I,
where WE stand?
