To many, imagination is the divine tool and method of escaping reality. Dividing the planes between dream state and the real world takes only a thought or feeling - from which germinates a new world, of possibility; a temporary bubble to mitigate the aftermath of problems existing elsewhere.

The more someone uses this imagination as a means of escape, the more uncomfortable they grow with reality - since, in the depths of their hearts and minds, they feel the guilt that dreaming is better than reality. As one's imagination improves, more and more is added to the second world inside their heads. Think of it like building blocks - each time one is used, two are created in it's place.

It's understandable that we all want to escape to someplace different at any given point in our lives. What i'm interested in, is where to?

Since journals are all about sharing thoughts and opinions - as opposed to whining about Justin Bieber's new breast enlargement surgery (or something along those lines) I'll keep my ego out of the way and simply paint a canvas.

Since I enjoy watching anime, it's not a surprise that I think about scenario similar to those in our beloved cartoons. NO i'm not saying I and everyone else should look like a cartoon, just that more interesting things should happen, and the world should generally be more accepting of different types of people.

(However, ideally for me, i'd be content with worlds like death note, Shiki, Cowboybebop or chobits.)

This leads me onto my theory about why people attend anime conventions. Having been to only two (one with some very good friends) I decided that everyone at the conventions were so accepting and it all seemed the norm - to wear such costumes and say outrageous things! Many people want that kind of thing, and so are born the general otaku / convention addict.

I've written too much in one day. Gah, i'm so lazy to do anything else.
