I darned a hole in my jeans the other day. My blue ones which are really soft and I don't want to throw away. Now they're practically good as new, I'm sure! I think I'll put an iron on patch on the inside though. That will stop the hole from ripping open.
I darned a hole in a sock a while ago too, and...yes, I am wearing a sock which also needs darning.
It doesn't need darning just because it has a hole. Many of my socks have holes emo
It needs darning because it has a hole and I like these socks and, like my blue jeans, do not want to throw them away.
