I don’t want to live in another’s possession.
I don’t want to die in earthly oppression.
When my heart is finally ready to take wing,
my unchained soul will rejoice and sing
for acceptance and freedom on the inside.
I want to live life to the fullest on the other side.
Not a day would go by without laughing awhile;
such joyous nature brings this world a smile.
A sprinkle of hope upon what had seemed so bleak,
and our world raises its voice to speak.
A final tear shed for the times I cried,
but the future shows that the grass is always greener on the other side.
