Queeni Ravine's Log
I like to think of myself as a pirate sometimes, so pirates keep logs, right? Awesomeness to the max. But I don't write about sea and other meager things unless I am bored. =D Enjoy!
Random Imp Story
The cold wind blew into my face, awakening me. As I opened my eyes, the pain rushed my entire body. My head throbbed and my abs ached. My wings felt numb and lifeless. I finally became aware of a weight on my back. I shifted, increasing my pain, and got the thing off. I glanced at it, dazed. Then I took in the long blond hair and the big blue eyes that were frozen open. The mouth was contorted into an o-shape as the body laid sprawled out. My mind froze as I realized the woman was my mother. I did not recognize her without her pearly white wings, which now were bloody stubs on her blackened shoulders and back.
I gasped and looked around. My village was in total ruins. Buildings were collapsed, burned, and scattered. Body parts and blood clashed against the snow at random spots. I grew angry as I remembered what caused the senseless execution of my people. The demons of my species had grown angry and jealous of us angels. The marriage of my mother and father disrupted the balance at last. Their elders came with a vast amount of others from their tribe. They slaughtered everyone they saw, especially my mother as she tried to help me flee. My father had been captured previously and thrown into a spiked cage, kept barely alive as they dragged him back with them to their village. My mother tried her best to protect me, yet no one was unharmed by their venomous fury. Yet, somehow I survived.
I got up quickly and ran away, a little slow at first. I could do nothing for my village, being too young and inexperienced in the ways of an imp. I tried to take flight, but the winds soared me into trees and back to the ground. I ran as long as I could from there until I crashed outside of a log cabin, landing in the pile of chopped wood. I did not want to move, but forced myself off and on to my back. Searing pain shot through both my wings as I realized I landed with them bent underneath me. I cried out loud enough to make birds yards away take flight away from me. I struggled to shift myself onto my stomach to lay there in the bloody snow. After a while of self pity, I struggled to my feet. I walked feeling my wings sting from the cold and harsh winds which blew my way, chilling me to the very bone.
