Okay. I knew bascially what that book was about. You know a boy gets a dog, through a sequence of events the dog gets bitten by a rabid wolf, and now boy kills dog. Yeah it was sad when I read that brief description and saw the movie. BUT....reading the book made it so much sadder since you can read all of it and not just bits and pieces the movie added in there. I love that book now yet I shall never read it again just like Where the Red Fern Grows. WAY TOO freaken sad for me to read it a second time. A classic for I actually cry when dog stories end like that crying
