I never dreamed of heaven much until we put him in the ground.
-"Easy Lucky Free" by Bright Eyes.
I've realized in the past two weeks or so that I think about death a lot. As morbid as it sounds, I know that I have a strange fascination with it. I'm not suicidal or anything, but I find the idea intriguing. Do we cease to exist? Is there actually an afterlife?
If there's an afterlife that is similar to Christian beliefs, I'm going to Hell.
If there actually is an afterlife of sorts, if we don't cease to exist, I really hope the Buddhists or Hindus are right in their beliefs of Reincarnation. (Those are the correct religions, I hope.)
Really, if I had a choice in the matter, I would want to turn into a star. Just go flying up after my physical body withers and fails me, way up through the atmosphere and out into space. Kind of like a rocketship.
Either way, I know death is going to happen, but I sure as hell don't want to rush it. Life's pretty good as of late, and I'm going to keep it that way.
Oh, and a link to the lovely song by Bright Eyes, straight from Youtube.
