I have a turtle, turtle, turtle, TORTOISE.

Eastern three-toed box. Named Boxer.

He moonlights as a turtle. Once he spent a month and a half floating in the sub-pump.

He's cool. When he's got live food, that little head can move really fast. It's awesome to watch him go after those worms. He like cucumbers a lot. And fruit, like berries. Lettuce not as much. We put him in the sink or the bathtub when he needs a drink, and he's good about only going to the bathroom there too.

He doesn't have a cage; he just has run of the house although he mostly stays in the kitchen/laundry room. Except when he comes out to do laps around the living room. And you've got to watch him carefully when you take him outside to let him run around the yard. He's a fast little bugger.

We've had him for about 7 or 8 years. He was full-grown when my dad brought him home; he found him on the highway and rescued him before he got run over.

He had a girlfriend for about two weeks, named Red, but then she died. We didn't like her anyway, and I don't think he did either.
