I just finished watching District 9. Wow. I got emotionally attached to the Prawns. That ... Was interesting. Why have I grown a heart? Gah, this sucks. I miss the hole in my chest. At least then I didn't get upset over something that didn't even happen.
Anyway! I have an update.
I got Monday written out! Whoohoo!

Now! For those (epic fail) summaries I promised!
The Open Skies:
Sen Kawahara's family has just expanded. He now has a stepbrother and stepsister, and they're pretty nice. His stepmom isn't the mean kind, and she loves Sen for being Sen. But Sen doesn't have the greatest time at school following this merge. In fact, he moves out from the utmost background to the foreground as the most opinionated boy in the school! (not yet seen in the main storyline sweatdrop )
In order to escape this increase in conflict between his friends, Sen turns to his dreams, to the world of comic books and fantasy novels. Only to discover that he hasn't quite been dreaming up the subject the whole time. In fact, the boy who had been the center of his dreams for several weeks is real. And this provides a whole new set of problems ... Including ownership of Sen himself.
Alliance For Humanity/Blanket Of Darkness:
Okay, this one isn't actually written yet. But what you need to know is this - the world is inhabited by creatures that aren't exactly human. They come out when Full Night descends. They are put into Orders. The highest orders feed exclusively on human energy, while the lowest consume only human flesh. Not all demons cause death, some even are kept as pets because they thrive off of happiness and will even share their happy energy if touched.
Both are centered on Vampires. Blanket of Darkness focuses on a girl who meets a Vampire who offers to escort her home safely - if she'll just talk with him. He despises feeding off of humans, and doesn't get along with his own Clan very well.
Alliance For Humanity focuses on a group of the same name, and a girl being recruted by them. It's a shady group, and no one really knows exactly what they do. During her initiation, she's required to capture a demon of a low Order, so she does just that - there's a demon who lurks about the streets just after twilight, only a few moments before Full Darkness descends (there are a few humanoid-Orders that can do this, Vampires being the most well-known). As she gets to know this Vampire, she realizes that he's just trying to live a life. Like her. Other things happen, but I'm not going to tell you, because the story is short and chronicals only the two weeks she knows this vampire.
Vampires:
A girl wakes up in an underground maze, disoriented and unable to really remember anything that happened before she was there ... At all. She's given maybe ten seconds to realize that there is absolutely no light in the maze, yet she can see, before she's confronted. By a vampire.
Okay, this summary is the lamest yet. What you need to know: Vampirism is caused by a virus, called Corprociliatis. Not a whole lot of people know exactly what it is, but people widely accept its existance. Theo Mihailov is a doctor who used to work on finding a cure for the virus, but dropped the project due to Nikolai's exposure (Theo infected himself because he thought he'd found a cure ... Turns out, he was wrong. Then he went and got poor little Niko all infected).

Can you tell I like things that aren't completely human? (I don't particularily like vampires, but those are the ideas that are most recent / stories I've been working on for a while. I'm actually more partial to bird-people or people with wings ... Just not when they're divine and/or sent from God. =/ I can't fathom why.)
