Outcast
The hallway becomes a battleground
When they all hate you the same
When their eyes become unanimously cold
And you feel pinned by their stares
You try to drown them all out
La la la la la, I can't hear you
Their laughter gets louder
It cuts right through your consciousness
Rumors spread person to person
Like a virus they all catch it
Why does your mouth fill with that bitter taste?
You never said a word
Your mind is filled with static
You try to tune them out
But they refuse to be ignored now
They make sure you hear them
Names are called
You have begun not to even care
Because those names are so common by now
You've learned not to be surprised
Still, as hard as you try
Your chest still aches
Childish tears still fill your eyes
They expected it, didn't they?
So you pull yourself together
You bite your lip and fake it
It hurts to be talked about
You are the main topic
Coming from their bitter mouths
They were your ''friends''
But now they barely know your name
Jostled in the hall
Ignored in class
Go ahead and cry, it won't matter
You are just another outcast
