The false Prophecy
The one becomes a martyr
The one protects
The one kills
The one who lies

The Prophecy
One becomes two
Two is infiltraded to become three
Three believes in four
Four lies to become seperate from two
Two leaves alone
And the journey begins again

"Is it true?" A young boy closed the slender book's fragile pages. Sighing he slid under his bed covers
"If i knew so, would I be here?" An annoying reply came from a cat like creature. With a thin fit body of a cat but topped off with rabbit like ears and extremely long tail people may think the creature was a sickly deformed cat but the boy knew, he was no cat.
"You look through that book every night, your just to dumb to understand it." It mocked hopping up the bookshelves that shadowed the boys bed. His agile features found only in inheritance of this creature. Not of this world, the books world...
"The World of Requiem..." The boy mumbled running his feeble fingers across the capital R on the books cover.
Somehow, someway; this book--The Book of Requiem, it read, contained not just a world on ink that any child could read but real one. A book that could open a realm. Of course many think this of a joke, but Serafin; the boy, knew this was true. Many years around Serafin's birth The World of Requiem was 'opened' and it closed leaving Griever, the cat like creature and keeping Serafin's mother along with others. He'd grown up not knowing his mothers face, voice, and name. With his mother gone he was alone, the old rat infested streets was no place for a child; apparently a good home wasn't either. Serafin thought solemly as he drifted to sleep.
~*~
"Up you lazy lump!" Serafin braced himself as the Mistress of the house; Ms. Crescent kicked Serafin up.
A silly name the other orphans would whisper but Serafin never dared. He'd asked Ms.Crescent once if she his mother's name and she'd beat all sense from him. From that point on he'd be treated as the punching bag in Ms.Crescent's boring and busy life.
Quickly he hopped from his bed as Ms.Crescent hobbled from his cubby-hole of a room. He sighed as he looked in his broken mirror. Nothing had changed, a ratty looking boy wearing a dirty hooded jacket; past 2nd hand pants and hole filled shoes. The only proper looking thing on him was slick black hair, that found its own place when he woke. Everything about screamed 'normal orphan'. 14yrs ago he was newborn boy with a sucessful looking future ahead of him; the World of Requiem took that all away from him. He heard movement in the hallways, quickly hiding his book, The Book of Requiem in his thin layered clothes.
"Oy! Sleepy head!" Griever bounced off his head "The evil calls!" He marched off in the hallway mocking Ms.Crescent with his every tail movement.
