flashing colors / RED / WHITE / BLUE / GREEN / explosions / RING / in the night / a reminder of / WHAT / it stands for / memorializing those / WHO / in desperation sought / HONOR / defending a / COUNTRY / which sent them to / DIE / and they / REMEMBER / what it was they / KILLED / for / and what it was they / DIED / for / but it happens / AGAIN / nothing will / CHANGE / except the / NAMES / the / FACES / of the / HEROIC / deeds / and we / STARING / at the screens and / SCREAMING / that there is no / JUSTICE / there is no / REASON / there is only / MADNESS / and yet / SOME / of us see fit to / IMPERSONATE / the / BRAVE / the / STRONG / to steal their / HONOR / and claim it as our / OWN / is there no / LOVE / for what those men have / SACRIFICED / so much for / and then / BANG / the colors shine / a / BRUTAL / reminder of the / TRUTH / that is / HIDDEN / behind the / LIES / of a country / CONSUMED / where the / BODIES / are hidden behind the / RED / and the innocence is consumed by the / WHITE / and the / JUSTICE / and / FREEDOM / a lie of the / BLUE / for which these / BRAVE / men have given their / SOULS / and for / US / that they have / DELIVERED / this so called / FREEDOM / into / OUTSTRETCHED / hands waiting for their so called / RIGHTS / those very things that are / LIES / with / SECRETS / and hidden / TESTIMONIALS / to the ones who were / WRONGED / and they shall be / FORGOTTEN / in the dust and / ASH / thought of as the / TESTS / that were / FAILED / but they will know / TRUE / freedom / for it is in the / FORGOTTEN / that our / HOPE / truly lies / and it is in the / DEEDS / that were done / and the / SACRIFICES / that were made / that we can see the / FIRE / which burns within / HEARTS / thought to be made of / STONE / we are / HUMAN / we can show / FLAWS / we can have / FEARS / and those will be what we will / LEARN / from / NOT / the things thought / RIGHT / through / HISTORY / but through the things / PROVEN / to be / WRONG / and again / BANG / while he stands / STILL / eyes focused on the sky / a distant / MEMORY / and he is / RETURNED / to a place where he was / BRAVE / and the / CELEBRATION / the / COLORS / are faded into / NOTHING / in his eyes / they are purely / SOUNDS / and / RECOLLECTIONS / and he / CRIES / for what he has / LOST / and for what he has / GAINED /
