At the funeral she was drapped in black. A dark veil covered her face so that the others may not see her tears as she stood over his grave. A raven was on the perch of the branch of the tree that over-looked his resting place. She thought back... "how could it have come to this?" she thought to herself. "I loved him. He loved me. Things like this don't happen to good people." She thought of the night it happened. She decided to leave the party early. "You're not going yet?" he asked. "I'm sorry Baby. I have to work tomorrow," she said. "Okay, well what if I come over later?" "That'd be cool. Just be careful." Those were her last words to him. 'just be careful' She got the call at three that morning. Fighting back tears she grabbed her car keys and drove to him. She held his hand as he took in his last breath. He looked up at her and smiled, then never breathed again. 'just be careful' she thought as she looked over his grave. "why couldn't you be careful? Like I asked you too..." 'drinking and driving doesn't mix'
