I used to love you, I used to care
But you always lied and were never there
I tried to be nice, and felt sympathy
But you never felt that way for me
I cried with you when you were in pain
But your feelings for me were always in vain
I was always the one to blame
Because I made you hide your face in shame
Why can't you accept me for who I am
I don't care if you don't give a damn
You let me leave, but then you call my name
But I didn't look back, and so you came

Then you started to remember
The times I cried
You bring me close and hug me tight

You kiss my forehead to show I'm all right
We start to feel hope and light

Now that we're together
