Facts about Rap Music
Now as a fan of Hip-hop/Rap/Turntabilism I am appaled by all these untrue conceptions of Rap Music. Now while I mainly listen to underground Hip-Hop I have listened to alot of Mainstream artists.

Note: I cannot change your tastes in music, but I may be able to educate you on some things.

1. Not all about Bitches/Hoes/Clubbin: This one of the biggest misconception of Rap. Unfortunately it is partly true. Most Rap songso n the Internet do have to do with Bitches and such.

2. Rapping DOES take skill: Another misconception is that all the singer does is talk with music in the background. Untrue, they can sing but when it comes to Rapping you have to have flow and a good sense of rythym. Your voice and ryhmes need to match the music in order to make it work.

3. Not all Rappers are violent: For some examples check out the following: MC Frontalot, The Visionaries, Flobots, Sugar Hill Gang and Jurassic 5.

4. White boys can rap: Just doesnt mean everyone SHOULD be rapping at all *cough*eminem*cough*

5. Most rap songs steal beats from other songs: The word we're looking for here is called Sampling. Sampling is using a sound clip from another song and adding it to your own. It's only stealing if they use everysound in the song.

6. There are different types of Rap: Horrorcore, Nerdcore, Toking Rap (Rap to smoke weed to) and many more.
