Now... I LOVE crossover RPs. Hard to find? Yes. Still pretty cool? Yes. But i've noticed something sort of odd.
Now I won't go into detail about my absolute pure hatred of using Real Pictures for Character pics. But the only time i'll forgive it if it's a Crossover and you happen to be using a character from a Live Action Show like say Doctor Who or Supernatural and such.
But why... why the ******** is it that some people want you to use REAL PICS for NON-LIVE ACTION CHARACTERS.
Confused?
Well allow me to explain. A couple crossover RPs i've found allow a variety of characters. Always cool. It's always awesome seeing different art styles and character designs coming together. But what's this? The rules want you to use a MODEL for your character?
Why...?
Now, i'll give another forgiveness here if it's one of those A/U type deals but even then it's kind of slim. But in one RP, there's absolutely no reason. NO ******** REASON. "Oh but you can use the game art as well"... THEN WHY THE ******** DO I NEED SOME ******** DOUCHEY MODEL?!?!
So.... say I want to roleplay as Ryu from Street Fighter. A ******** ICON in video games. I'd have to find a real pic of some douche bag looking a*****e with his shirt unbuttoned the looks NOTHING like my intended character

Ryu does NOT approve
..... WHYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!!
It makes NO GOD DAMN SENSE.
The reason I love crossovers so much is the blend of wildly different character designs. The idea of something like a classic Medieval fantasy Elf type character from say Lord of the Rings being in the same world as a more over stylistic character like say Travis from No More Heroes... I ******** love it.
So if you want to make a CROSSOVER RP and you force people to use Real Pics instead of the actual character design (Official art or otherwise) you're essentially doing an RP about douchebag models or celebrities... ******** cosplaying characters... not a LEGIT crossover RP.
