family Christmas parties are totally awesome! I went to one yesterday. Two of my cousins always want me around. Josh and Zack. They're in 5th grade. Josh's older brother is in 8th grade at the high school I'm in currently. Zack's older sister is a junior in my high school (well, not right now. She's a Chipmunk at the moment. Blech...) Zack always asks his mom if I'm going to be at a family get-together. He, Josh and I have 3-way Yu-Gi-Oh duels. Not that we ever get to finish. I've given them Pokemon and Yugioh cards a few times. I'm always extra careful with my yugioh b/c I'm trying to collect cards. I won't ever give away my only copy of a card. Unless I'm getting something I want.
Two years ago yesterday, I burst into tears when one of my friends gave me a candy cane. Sonds stupid, i know. Here's what had happened. It was the last day of school before Christmas holidays. It was also my best friend's b-day. The night before, my mom had put candy canes for my friends and my friend's birthday present in a bag. she told me NOT TO FORGET IT. Well, needless to say, I forgot the bag. I felt so horrible. Well, my friend did get her b-day present... that night. I went to her house after school. SO I couldn't get the present for her until I went home. Whoosh. That doesn't happen anymore b/c A) I now write these things down & B) I only have one friend whose present I could forget (not the friend in the story)
