Chapter 3
“Oh fudge!” was the last of Jenna. I took a few deep before continuing down the dorm halls. As I walked past the lounge room, I heard people talking and gossiping about the new students. I shuddered at the thought of sharing my dorm with any one.
I walked out of the gate of the dorms. I looked around, going over the several buildings that came into my view. I headed to the only gothic styled building on the whole campus. The grand arched oak door is the only separation between the dean and me. I pushed the doors open furiously.
The cold air clung to me as I walked up to the front desk. A young man around his late teens sat in an office chair with his back turned away from me. He motioned for me to come closer. When I moved closer, he turned to face me completely.
His eyes were bright amber with his black bangs carefully covering them. He had the rest of his hair in a ponytail that cascaded down his shoulder. He sighed and rested his head on his palm.
“Do you need help with something?” his voice dry and uncaring.
“I need to see the dean,” trying to match him.
“He isn’t here.”
“Is there anyone that I could talk to?” rolling my eyes at him.
“You can talk to Master Motto,”
“Fine,” I started to walk away when his voice cut me off.
“Tell him that Kyo sent you.”
I nodded and walked to the direction that he pointed me in. I came to a door with the initials S.M. I knocked on the door, and a loud thud came from the other side. With a nervous laugh, a man opened the door.
“Sorry for the delay, m’lady” he guided over to a seat in front of his desk. His red hair bounced and his green eyes were bright. He smiled as he sat in his seat.
“Um, Kyo sent me…”
“Ah, I’ll be sure to thank him. What can I help you with today, Dianna?” his voice upbeat.
“How do y-”
“I know everyone’s name,”
I nodded, “I wanted to know about the new dorm arrangements.”
He nodded and pulled out a large folder. Motto hummed as he skimmed the folder. He pulled out a sheet of paper. He rested his hand in his palm, and frowned. He turned the paper to me. He pointed to the bold, red print.
“Your dorm assignment can’t be moved. Orders from the dean,” he said in an apologetic voice.
