What is writing to me?

Writing is a way of expression, a window into my soul, an escape from reality and all things possible. It is my creativity: a painted picture in the form of words and phrases. It is my beliefs. It is my disbeliefs. It is all my hopes and my dreams. It represents the feelings taking place inside of me. It exposes all of my emotions: sadness, joy, love, anger, jealousy, etc. It is my fears and my phobias. It is my imagination come to life in front of my eyes. It is my roots along with my branches. It is my experiences that influence my everyday life. It lifts me when I’m down and keeps my mind at peace. It manipulates my stresses, my burdens and my pains to help me away from those horrific afflictions. It is a rite of passage. It is born from enlightenment, knowledge and inspiration. It speaks to those who will listen not to the words of others and will never ignore the one who speaks. It will never argue with me or wrong me in any way. It doesn’t tease me, taunt me or belittle me. It is always around when I need it and it will never leave me. It never gets old or out of style. It is how I want it to be and nothing more. It has the potential to go beyond the ordinary and reach mountains higher than the skies. It needs no limit, no motive and no purpose. It just is.

Writing isn't only words on paper. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they write. It is a reflection of one’s self. It is gateway to a deeper subconscious message. It is me.
