Time is like sliding down a mountain backwards on your back. Not only can you not see where you are going- when you might smash into the next obstacle, but you can't really get up. Sometimes you slide down it so fast, no matter how much you scrabble to hold the earth or what you manage to grasp, you cannot stop and hold the moment. Sometimes you feel that you have come to an agonizing slow, where you think you are never going to stop sliding and you are never going to reach the bottom either, you are just slipping by. When you take this moment to try and stand up and grasp what is going on, you find you were going faster than expected.
Either way, there's a steep drop off at the bottom, and you are going to die.
