Clothing: Maurice dresses in nice clothing that’s just a little bit to formal to be considered “normal.” He almost always wears dark work-slacks, pastel colored dress-shirts, and neck-ties (often with bizarre patterns on them.) He always carries a closed, black umbrella with him and often wears a simple, old (but well cared for) brown overcoat. His clothes usually have a few white feathers on them that always seem to cling to him, no matter how many times he brushes himself off. If you’ve ever owned a cat, you’ll know what I’m talking about, ‘cept instead of fur, it’s feathers.

Personality: You know that one guy who’s way too nice for his own good? The kind that never gets mad at anyone, even if they deserve it? Yeah, Maurice is *that* guy. The guy that’s smiling all the time, never says anything bad about anyone, and has unlimited patience. And with most people, that would get very annoying very quickly, but for some reason, people seem incapable of getting mad at him as well. Maurice is quick to befriend people and has a generally amiable nature about him. He is the parental best friend that everybody goes to when they need a comforting word. He’s also the kind of guy who helps little old ladies across the street, rescues kittens from trees (consequently getting the hell scratched outta his face,) and empties his pockets for homeless people. Most people would find this to be very flakey, goodie-two-shoes behavior. However, Maurice does it because it’s who he is.

History: Maurice refuses to talk much about his past. When questioned about it, he will simply say that he was born to two very loving parents and grew up in a happy home. What he will not say, however, is that the angelic hierarchy wants him completely eliminated from the face of the earth. He will also not discuss the fact that he is only here as punishment, or that he can revive the dead. He prefers not to bother people with his problems. However, because he does have angelic bounty-hunters chasing him, he is always on the move and won’t stay in one place very long. He is often mistaken for a well-groomed homeless man… and in a sense, that’s what he is.
