So, I just got home from Goblet of Fire. It started around midnight, and it's now about 3 in the morning.
I must say, the beginning of the movie disappointed me somewhat. It starts pretty faithfully to the book, with the old man getting whacked and Harry's nightmare. But Harry wakes up in the Weasley's home, not the Durslys. From there, they take you to the world cup. I must say, that scene was beautiful. They taunt you with it however, by not actually playing the match. Then something that's very unfaithful occurs. Death Eaters attack and burn the camp to the ground. Now if memory serves me correctly, a squad of Death Eaters don't waltz thru town in the book. Barty Crouch just gets ahold of Harry's wand and casts the Dark Mark. From there it cuts to the train to Hogwarts. And as soon as they arrive, the other two schools arrive as well.
From that point on it's fairly faithful to the book, although several things were cut out. Such as S.P.E.W. , the kitchen, and various other details. Truthfully, I wouldn't go see the movie again. It just doesn't live up to the book at all. The movie is more like a quick over view of the book, getting only the highlights. Personally, I would have loved to have seen the World Cup match, rather than Harry's attempt to save Ron and Fleur's sister. And they cut out the damn Sphinx from the maze! I was so looking forward to that damned Sphinx. Eh, I hate how Hollywood can take a great thing and turn it into tripe.
My rating of the Movie is a C+. It's a good movie if you're only looking for a basic summary of the book, otherwise just keep to the book on this one.
Sidenote: I bought the second book of the Dark Tower Series. Can't wait to start reading it.

Strays
Sometimes it can feel so good to walk away from the straight and narrow path.
It can be good to be a stray.

DT-B2 Sidenote: Book two wasn't my favorite out of the series, that's for sure. Personally.. It was a slow read, sort of. Nevertheless, it wasn't a bad book; I just liked the Gunslinger better.
