Sometimes I can't help but wonder if anyone reads this tripe I call my journal. I read about 4 people's journal, depending on whether or not they've updated. And I'm guilty of not leaving comments, and I wonder if the people whose journal I do read are going through the same thing I am. It's almost like you're talking, but no one is listening.
I think my problem is that I only leave comments if I feel like my input is truely needed, I have something snappy, clever or silly to say, and lastly if I think I have something to contribute. However, sometimes I just want to go, "Hey, I'm reading, so keep writing!" I think that is truely a writer's nightmare: No one listening to what you have to say. Or at least the perception of that.
