Since the beginning of my time you've been there
You love me no matter what I do
I'm always yours even if I disappear
You encourage me to be my best
You used to lay me down to rest
I am always grateful for you
And you are always grateful for me
You've told me to follow my dreams
But reminded me to remember my roots
You've given me wings to leave
But left me a place to call home
You've been with me through thick and thin
You've stuck by me when I'm grim
One day you'll leave me here all alone
But you'll stay beside me until I am going to join you
You are my parents
Nothing will change that
You've inspired me to do the best I can
