Scientific realism. What we consider to exist, even though our naked eyes deny the truth. The existence of electrons, neutrons, protons...the list goes on infinitely. Thinking back, why do we think they exist? There is virtually no proof that they do. That is when scientific realism comes in. If science can proof it, then it exists, even if there is no evidence for it. That, is what scientists consider as "reality". Reality exists, as long as there is sufficient evidence to support it, even if we ourselves cannot sense it.
