You scare me.
It’s not your temper that scares me, or the way you go from flirting to murdering in the blink of an eye. It’s not how fast you can draw your blade, your skill with a sword or dagger, or even your ability to kill in cold blood.
No, what scare me are your eyes, and how when you look at me, I can’t look away. What scares me is the way your touch lingers on my skin, and the way just one look, one sly smile takes my breath away. How just your closeness can derail my train of thought. The way you affect me terrifies me.
Come away with me, where no one can find us. It will be just the two of us, no one else. Just let me get you alone, let me have just one chance to scare you like you scare me.
Just one chance, that’s all I ask, for me to scare you.
