Freezing cold
Under a blanket of lies
"I'll do better"
But I never do
"I'll be truly happy."
But I'm not
A constant wind on my back
Chilling as Death's hand at my throat
A dark shroud has fallen
Across my blank gray eyes
My heart hardened past healing
Faking love an life
Everyday I 'live'
The pain opresses
My breathing
My thoughts
The scream goes unoticed by any
Home is a prison
From which there is no escape
Love is a myth
I know what it will take
Once lost
A cold wind
Never leaves
It steals my breath
Makes me bleed
I want to escape
The great, icy storm
But how
How!?
This cold wind never leaves.
