They said they'd support me
Be there all the way
But when I changedTheir minds rearranged
They bet against me!
Yelled and screamed!
Said I'd never make it.



My mom mocked me.
Took it too lightly
She stole my things
Read my thoughts
Blamed my best friend



My dad yelled
He doubted me
Threatened to move
To take me from my friends



School was torture
My life was hell
I snapped
Broke.
I swear I lost my mind


But insanity just makes it worse
Wearing black and spikes
My grades fell
My heart tore
My parents did nothing to help



I screamed inside
I cried and cired
The scars show the pain.
They don't know.
They just don't know!
The meaning of pain is real.
My life was uprooted
My emotions shredded



And still they stand back and watch.


"You'll never get anywhere."
"She never tries!"
They're voices ring.
But what I hear hurts so much worse.
They've labeled me useless.
Lazy and stupid.
"She's useless."
"A mess up."
"A worthless waste of life."
Abuse doesn't have to be physical.
But it hurts just as much.
