I just don't know how to feel
Is he there?
Is he real?
What was God, where is He?
And why wasn't he there for me?
Pain and hate,
They ruled my life
I wanted to take it to a knife
He wasn't there
And my heart broke
Where was he when my mom yelled?
Said I shouldn't come home?
Where was he when I pierced my skin
And cried on the phone to a friend?
Where was he
When a beloved pet passed
And when planes crashed down
And so many died?
Bombings and death.
Suicide and pain.
He claims love, but...
Where'd he go
When we need him most?
I don't know.
I just don't know!
And I'm happy all the same.
