If you haven’t guessed by the title of this entry, I have issues with the Inventory, Inventory Arranger (I.A.), and Equip Screens.

For someone like myself, who has a mild case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), I felt it necessary to arrange my inventory (in 'the old days', at least) by color, and then by how it was equipped (hat, pants, accessory, 'item', etc). With the first few 'versions', I guess they were, it was quite simple, and I could SELL any unwanted items (from the Daily Chance, usually) that I had taking up space. My game items were not on the main screen, and neither were many of the 'special' category, except maybe some thank you letters.

Then the horror started.
(I say horror, because when my neat little OCD order gets disturbed, I become extremely stressed and unhappy until it is fixed.)

I first noticed this when I did not let my inventory fully load, and began arranging items at the end first, and sliding them into the correct areas in the rest of my inventory. I checked and double checked my inventory to make sure everything was where I wanted. All was well. However, when I went to EQUIP these new items to make myself a new outfit, I found not everything was where I placed it. A purple shirt was where a red shirt should be. Green stockings were in with my brown hats! I quickly assessed that some adjacent items had switched places while I arranged them in the I.A.

This was happening at least by the beginning of 2008.

As time went on, this 'switch glitch' got worse. Random items went where they pleased. And when I seemed to have everything in neat order in the Arranger, I would check my Equip Screen, and it would be even worse than before!

Then they split the equip screen.

Now, I will admit that I collect items. I have over 1300 items currently, and have no plans of mass selling anything. Yet. Gaia may yet change my mind. So my inventory screen was a fairly long list. But in the equip screen, each category was a neat rainbow of color, and everything was on screen at once. I didn't mind as much yet that the switch glitch happened. I could still see all my items at once, on screen.

For some reason, the item devs felt it necessary to take my (estimated) 200 shirts, and split them into pages. 3 pages. And with all my other items as well. Any classification of item that reached over a certain number was put onto a second page. Or a third page. I nearly had a heart attack the first time I saw my equip screen like this. I thought a hacker had stolen the second two-thirds of my inventory, leaving me only a third of my items.

But in a fairly short time, I begrudgingly learned to cope with the now-frustrating Equip Screen. Recently, I had the last straw placed on my back, and am fed up with the arranger, and use it only when necessary to avoid extra stress. They began AUTO-ARRANGING my items, placing the things I used most at the END of my inventory. On the arranger screen (and yes, I tried going back to the I.A. to try and fix this madness. It didn't work in the slightest.) all of the items in the outfit I was wearing at the time were placed after my game items. Why, of all the places you could put popular items, would it be in the least-convenient location? Bring them to the front, so I know that not only have they NOT been stolen by hackers (as I had once again feared), but I can easily equip the same outfit multiple times.

But no. All of my equipped and recently-equipped items magically slide to the bottom of my arranger screen, and my once neat and orderly inventory is a mess.

Please, Gaian admins and developers, fix the problems you have with the site before you go on with your zOMG plans. Because as much as these problems are low on your list, they will be even lower with zOMG and any (likely) bugs and glitches there.
