Slipping
Breaking your concentration as it creeps in,
Burning your eyes till you can't stand it,
Forcing images into your sight,
Warming your entire body in every way it can,
Drifting away you realize what's happening,
You jump and take deep breath,
Your neck is a great source of pain,
Every breath making your eyes hurt more,
Slipping, Falling, Drifting, Fading,
Everything fades to black, you're numb,
And just when you think it's 2:00 in the morning,
It's 5:00 in the afternoon.
